Overall ambience and helpfulness of staff
Breakfast was cold - hot food was unpleasant and not worth the money
good location, ideally positioned for Windsor and Eton.
Fab location right on the river and close to train station into London. Very helpful and friendly staff. A real gem!
The location was superb. Short walk to all the local amenities. Staff were friendly. Bed was comfortable. Overall, a good stay.
Unless you called in advance, you had to park at the local car park. But this was a bonus as it was much cheaper. The Riverside car park cost us £9 rather than £30 for the whole weekend!
Staff were courteous and helpful, bed was really comfortable. View over the river at breakfast was superb.
Had an upgrade from Standard to Executive but even with the upgrade the room was extremely small, couldn't swing a cat. Room 410 overlooked the station and a hidden nightclub with loud music until 2.30 am plus the breakfast was not really value for money @ £15.95. Don't think we will stay again.
So close to the river
The spa facilities where outside the building
Fantastic location, lovely old buildings
'Spa' consists of small hot tub outdoors and small sauna cabin. All beauty treatments fully booked but we were not advised to pre-book at time of hotel booking. Hefty price tag (even on an offer) for old building and location.
Superb location and helpful friendly staff. Good car parking facility @ £15 per night.
Reservation was cancelled because they over booked so they offered me a single room right up stairs so with no lift and small stair case I had to carry my 30 kg suitcase and 10 kg hand luggage up stairs then down the next day! Not impressed!
Easy to get to Twickenham by train and the food in the restaurant was very good
the room was in an adjacent building above the entrance door and stairs and was therefore very noisy
The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot between the castle and the Thames. Beautiful views from restaurant. The staff we interacted with were all helpful and pleasant.
Our room was at the tippety-top of the hotel and there is no lift. We had to hike up five flights to get to room. Once in our room, I found a dirty towel hanging on back of bathroom door. Bed was too small and very uncomfortable. The morning we checked out there was a huge spider in the doorway.
Impressive gym. The staff. The food looked good. Breakfast especially.
Noise in next room. Stuffy room made me catch a cold and have headaches. Parking cost and spaces
Lovely view from the window. Prompt and obliging service
Bedside light not quite bright enough for reading
You couldn't ask for a better location right on the River Thames close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Rooms were nice, clean and has good facilities. The buffet breakfast was lovely as were the staff.
When the bar got busy service was very slow.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast staff were lovely.
The room and terrible strange small bath .with a leaky shower
Location. Helpful staff. Big room. Nice thick curtains kept it dark, which is good for sleeping through jetlag.
Very cold weather - but we can't blame the hotel for that!
Location, breakfast room and staff
Size of room on ground floor beside a VERY NOISEY alley way. Complained in the morning but I might as well have told the taxi driver on the way back to Heathrow, he would have done nothing about it as we'll!
The courtesy of the staff. I just spent the weekend there and nothing was too much trouble.
Everything else very good
Pillows like bricks. Hard bed.towels and dressing gowns crusty
Room was lovely very clean and comfortable
The gym and Rm81 right next to it!
No bottled water in room
We Over looked the river it was lovely. The hotel was central, so no driving all weekend.
Bed View from restaurant in morning. Watching the swans
Restaurant menu for Valentine - expensive poor value for money and limited choice. Bar menu looked better. Although breakfast good had to wait 10 mins for coffee whilst my husband had his tea straight away. I had to ask again.
My parents are elderly and they were given a room along way from the main staircase, with lots of ups amd downs. I also noted that the rooms were sighnposted better than the exit.
