Very friendly cheerful hosts. A nice B&B,clean & had all we needed. The seaview was lovely & it is just near the pier. The Breakfast was really tasty - especially the sausage and tomatoes! Perfectly cooked & the toast & tea just kept coming! Comfortable - good for a short stay!
We didn't mind - but it is in need of a refurb. - dated but quaint! A bit pricey but we would still recommend.
Breakfast was good but not enough cereal choice Owner very helpfull
Bedroom was not up to standard and en-suite not as expected.
Condition of rooms. Needs a redec/ refurb of bedrooms.
Close to beach , view was good. Breakfast good
Lilies on the landing, can't stand them. Needs updating and could be cleaner. Wouldn't go back there
Good location not far from the towncenter but at the same time near other sightseens and in a calm area; friendly owners; good oportunity to spend time in old english house. Inspite of the fact that the house is old bathrooms are modern ;) Not so many rooms so it was not noisy. Good seeview.
It's not a minus but remember that it's an old house with it's environment, so my allergic friend did not feel good. We manage it, but my advice to allergic and athmatic people to pay attention to this fact and don't forget their medicines
Need more tea/coffee items in the room
The host was very friendly and informative, about the area. Great view from the room of the beach. Breakfast was fresh and tasty.
No problems other than finding parking. Even there, the host told us of off street parking that was available
Owner was very nice, he let us park our motorcycle in the backyard and we even had a room upgrade to a see view bedroom. Breakfast was delicious.
Could be a little bit cleaner
Poky bedroom Cracked toilet peeling paintwork
Property needs r-decorating.. Parking very difficult.

Bedroom furniture needs updating had this type of furniture when I got married 45 years ago , toilet pan was cracked not healthy also the bathroom needed a good hoover around the edges also a few notices asking other residents to try and be quite .
Loved the view from our room, breakfast was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Cant wait to return and would definately recommend to friends
Only problem we had was with the shower in the room. Ok for a shower but not to wash my long thick hair unfortunately
Staff were very helpful, breakfast perfect. Ideal for a quiet few days
Always made very welcome
No bad coments at all
Great breakfast, central, airshow.
Friendly owners, comfy room and great breakfast
Sink in bathroom was cracked
The 1790 hotel has a beautiful facade and the interiors, even if antique, have been carefully decorated. The room was cozy and the bathroom had a proper bath. In the room we found tea, hot chocolate and coffee, and some biscuits, a very nice touch. They also provided us with towels and bathrobes, shampoo, and body cream, which was very helpful, because I left mine at home. The breakfast is in a very nice room with a bay window and is very very good: there is a good choice (English breakfast, hot croissants, scrambled eggs, ...). The position is excellent: just 5 minutes walking from the pier and the city centre, and very close to Beachy head, too (app. 30 minutes by bike). The owner and the staff are very nice and friendly, and very helpful: they let us keep the bikes in the tea garden, which is closed at night, so very secure. It has been a very nice experience.
Unfortunately there are not a lot of free parking spaces in front of the hotel, but this is not their fault.
The owners were respectful and understanding of our needs, they were lovely people that helped us whenever help was required. Breakfast was also good and plentiful, therefore, overall it was a very delightful stay. Thank you very much :)
Friendly staff. Great location. Mattress protectors. Clean bedding. Lovely chill out/games room. Caffitierre in room. Staff so helpful to provide soya milk for breakfast and bagels due to our allergy.
Panel coming away from bath. Carpet by toilet. Lights missing bulbs in room. Cracked sink. Cracked ceiling. Dead flies and dust on sash windows. Folded paper holding up the window.Really needs some tlc and diy. Didn't stay for breakfast as vegi and the bacon smell was extremley strong in room. Vacated instantly.
Very nice and friendly people Excellent breakfast
Food excellent, dog friendly, nice to have such good sea views.
Cleanliness could be better. Though most areas were fine, our room wasn't serviced one day, until we asked, and our daughter's room/bed should certainly have been very much cleaner and fresher than it was.
We couldn't fault this hotel. Staff were friendly, it was very clean, lovely rooms and a great breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
Breakfasts are excellent! Location and viwes are perfect. Great combination of quality & price.
I was constantly missing wi-fi signal in the room.
