We found nothing to dislike.

Blamed for using Booking.com Mix up with rooms, not our fault was a blamed on us. After a complaint, we had no apology from booking.com or the hotel owner. Made our weekend stay very uncomfortable. She made up a fictitious letter to make us feel guilty, because she had double booked the room. I would not recommend this B&B.

we loved the accomodation, Eillen the owner of the B&B was amazing. she goes out of her way to make sure your stay is perfect. her cooking is fantastic. the hotel is beautifully decorated. we will definately be returning to Sea La Vie.

Eileen is the perfect host. Sea-La-Vie is beautiful. We were looked after so well and will definitely return. Well deserved winners of Channel 4's Four In A Bed! When can we move in?

If you like built-to-a-formula bland chain hotels with a carpark by the door, then this place is not for you. But if you like character by the bucketload, the warmest welcome, good rooms and great food, then try this place instead. Your life will be the richer for it.

I would highly recommend this B&B. The owner Eilleen was really friendly as was her daughter they both made me feel very welcome. My room was excellent and the bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in. Tea in abundance if required. Vast range of choice for breakfast which was really very well cooked. I will be staying at Sea-La-Vie next time I am in Portsmouth on business as well as pleasure.

My wife and I simply love it! We have spent a wonderful night there. It was my birthday, and the hostess presented me a bottle of wine and an extra hour of stay for free. For breakfast we could choose between full English breakfast + cereals or pancakes with bacon and honey. We've chosen second option and it was a gastronomic ecstasy! Rooms are all museum-looking. It is impossible to describe the bed. It is made of mahogany and covered with silk, of enormous size and softness. Briefly talking, to us this hotel was a dream come true, for a very reasonable price!

This Bed & Breakfast was very welcoming on arrival the owner was a warm, friendly and most helpful throughout our stay. The superior room was a delight to stay in, comfy king sized bed, beautiful white sheets and fluffy white towels. Lovely bathroom and shower with plenty of shampoo, shower jel etc. Nothing too much trouble when she says "if you want anything just ask" she really means it. Breakfast to die for from a full english to smoked salmon and anything in between. Plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, eggs any way, toast etc. Would recommend it highly.

We liked everything. Rooms were great, landlady was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was the best we have ever had!

The bedroom: antique furniture, very individual, comfortable, cozy atmosphere, The breakfast: incredible, individually prepared, just delicious The hostess: simply sweet, ever helpful, a never-ending source of information, we would have liked to spend more time with her The house: fits all positive stereotypes of a Victorian-style b&b (if I may say so) ... in walking distance to the waterfront, to the museums and docks, and to the beautiful city of Southsea with its interesting small stores

It's a beautiful place to stay with a lovely hostess

I really enjoyed my stay at the sea-la-vie and have recommended the place to friends already. It was spotlessly clean, the room was lovely,warm and cosy.The staff were superb, very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Parking was excellent no problems ther we parked our car opposite hotel and we never got in it until we returned home. There is no need to drive anywhere as you can walk to all the attractions, the shopping at gunwhalf keys and the historic dockyard are all in easy reach by foot or local bus. Absolutely a perfect position for evenings out not to close to centre, but a short stroll away. I would definitely return to this place. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay.

There was nothing that we didn't like it was excellent!

Comfortable and homely. Friendly, helpful staff. Our comfort was their priority. Excellent and plentiful breakfasts. On road parking with permit and we had no problems with this.

We were really well looked after by Eileen and Jannika - it had a relaxing homely feel and was a great place to stay - we will definitely go back.

Did not have tea/coffee facilities in the room - however - you can ask the host for refreshments when required.

The house is lovely, the location is perfect, and the hosts are two of the nicest people you could ever meet. They met our every need and it exceeded our expectations.

A very friendly and homely environment. It was like going back to the Irish mum I never had, but without the lectures. Very comfortable bed and superb breakfast too

Very good for a short stay, but our room was a little cramped and lacked wardrobe space.
