Sea Trout Inn is a traditional inn with a conservatory restaurant. It dates from the 15th century and is in the beautiful Dart Valley near Totnes. Awarded a 4-star Silver Award by VisitBritain in 2010, this Inn has en suite rooms, some of which overlook the pretty patio garden. Some rooms have a shower, some have a bath, and others have both. The fine-dining restaurant serves modern British cuisine, and 2 individual bar areas offer fresh, homemade pub food to a very high standard. Blackpool Sands and Dartmouth Harbour are within easy reach. Buckfast Abbey can be reached via the steam train from Staverton Station. Hotel Rooms: 10

We Liked the hotel and the food was excelent We were upset to find we had booked through Booking .com as the hotel do deals, and they had trouble findind our booking, it would have been cheaper booking direct, The only complaint was the bed was uncomfortable,water proof covers over the pillows. I will not be booking through Booking.com again, although we got Sea Trout up on the web, your site took over the site

Stayed for 1 night on the way to Cornwall. We were greeted by the steam railway on our arrival which was unexpected ,but a bonus. Lovely meal in the evening by the log fire in the bar and had a quiet,well appointed room at the back overlooking the church.I would think all the rooms are quiet as Staverton is a small hamlet. Good choice at breakfast including fish. Would definitely stay here again.

Cleanliness, friendly relaxed atmosphere, value for money, location. We had our honeymoon at the Sea Trout 42 years ago and we had'nt been back since, so it had a lot to live up to. It managed very well and gave us a fine trip down memory lane. Garden could be improved.

The Sea Trout is set in a very beautiful and peaceful part of the country, away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were always very, helpful, polite and attentive to all our needs. The room was lovely, just what one needs for a quiet retreat. The food was delicious too, what more can we say....

Excellent bedroom and en suite, tastefully decorated. Food good and staff very friendly. We liked the peace and quiet of the area and the general ambience of the bar and conservatory area as well. It's the perfect place to get away from everything and relax. We liked almost everything but thought the menu could be changed more often, and smaller portions on offer as well as standard sizes.
