Helpfull staff, clean and tidy, location very good, parking good
Lovely views. Great staff
Bathroom very clean, location excellent near to Pavillions where we went to see a show, breakfast good, ample free parking. Wifi good in bar.
This place is a throwback from the 1970's and looks like the main areas haven't been updated since ! The whole of the ground floor smells really damp and looks quite dirty.
We both like everything about the 'Seabank' hotel. We can't fault anything.
"The Weather" but we aren't blaming you for that!
staff very friendly and helpful. hotel rooms very clean. lovely view from the lounge. breakfast was excellent. near to the town and shops. hotel is in an excellent position. looking forward to my next visit. recommended to all family and friends.
absolutely nothing that I didn't like.
The staff were polite and helpful. A good breakfast
No food available from the bar after 2 pm.
location, parking, near sea front and shops
breakfast times limited to 1 hour. Reception not always manned. Needs entertainment on Saturday
Staff went out of the way to help
Breakfast was only between 8-9am
we like the hotel it was nice and quiet
did not like the food cos we found a hair in it
breakfast served hot and fast
seemed a bit short staffed at times
Our room looked newly decorated...Bathroom looked recently retiled .Breakfast was very prompt, plenty of choice .& delicious..Ideal location.
Good location and nice and warm inside .
Rundown hotel , poor breakfast , couldn't even drink the watered down orange juice ! didn't bother to go to breakfast after the first visit .Bar closed at 9pm There was a musty smell throughout. We could not recommend which is a shame as it must have been a nice hotel in its day .
Food Ok Room Ok Lounge comfort OK Bedroom was cosy but one bed could do with a change of mattress
Bar closing in afternoons run out cornflakes for two days bread rolls another day plates cold - meal luke warm coffee cold toast was cold but asked for hot toast still as cold. gents toilet in lounge area smelled very bad. Decor poor on stairs and corridors
not really suitable for business with limited wi fi
Very comfortable and nice breakfast
No one there to have your key at 12.30am. Had to get this myself
Breakfast is a joke
The room was ideal. I spent much time there, sleeping, reading and watching the sea. Exactly what I wanted.
1) The restaurant staff were, in the early evening sittings, in a rush all the time, sometimes actually running, which didn't make a good atmosphere for a relaxed meal. 2) Being an elderly, solitary woman, I felt at times totally ignored. I also was not happy to be addressed as"darling", "love", "lovely" by waiters, unprofessional and patronising.
OLD DATED HOTEL
Sea view rooms, comfortable beds.
Breakfast service was poor. Force to sit in back rather than by windows to view the sea. Toast burnt, requested fresh toast which came out even more burnt, staff unable to resolve this simple problem. WiFi.i limited to bar area
Spacious comfortable room, with spotless bathroom. Good location, over the road from the sea. Night porter seemed friendly and efficient.
I rang to ask about vacancies and was told there were none and that the hotel had no singles, but then found a single through Booking.com. Why lie? Room was very hot so I had to have the windows open, but then couldn't sleep as there was so much noise from traffic. Waiter at breakfast just came and glowered at me silently and then walked away as I was giving my order. Everyone seemed to get burnt toast.
Service was poor hotel outdated . Facility's awful.
Decor is tatty and dated.
Hotel is clean and comfortable ok for a short break. Staff are very friendly and helpfull
The Hotel is bit dated, could do with updating
Seaview room as requested but then l did pay a lot of money for this facility. Free car parking but it was a hassle to get my vehicle details registered and l was anxious that no dedicated sticker was issued to me to place in the car to confirm authorisation. I was offended by the notices placed around the Hotel regarding their parking facilites which l found most off putting.
Having to wait until nearly 4pm before gaining access to room; l assume this was because the Hotel mostly caters for people arriving and departing on coaches. The 'stench ' that hit my senses when opening my accomodation door; left windows open but it didn't improve so used my perfume to mask the odours. Breakfast was an experience i would not choose to repeat, wrong on all levels; made to feel l was an inconvenience to their routines and it was difficult to liase with staff due to language barriers.
Room seemed clean and was reasonably comfortable. Perfect location. Parking was easy. The price was fair in that it reflected the poor state of the hotel.
Outside the bedroom the hotel was generally seedy, in need of decoration, repairs and better furnishing. Such a shame to see a potentially great hotel in this relatively dilapidated state. It is clearly simply catering for the low end of the market - bus tours when we were there and everything geared towards them. It is not inviting for the individual traveller. How I hate beds with heavy rubber under-sheets!
