Upgraded to better room
No one at the accommodation when we arrived. Had to wait for an hour before getting into our room
Lovely hotel, it was a little shabby in a gentile sort of way. The decoration looked fairly new. The room had a tv, kettle with tea/coffee etc. The beds were comfortable
The room was very cold as the heating did not go on until around 8pm ish. There was a portable heater in the room but it was not very efficient.
Friendly welcome. Huge apartment and also lovely balcony. Cozy communal lounge plus conservatory.
Heating was not working because of adjacent gas works but this was not the owners fault and at 9,30 p.m the gas engineers came into the apartment and switched gas back on. Happy days.
the staff friendly and helpful.
the room was cold. noisy the room had cob webs.
Easy to find, within walking distance of Hythe
The room and shower area could do with a lick of paint and a deep clean. A general re-fit wouldn't go unwelcomed.
There was noone at property waited for an hour rang bell banged on receptions door disgusting premises glad booked into holiday inn after lucky they had room
Very friendly. A comfortable stay. We were given a larger suite than expected. Nice surprise.
The hotel could do with a touch of tender loving care and decor updating!
Lovely spacious room with comfortable bed and surprisingly quiet.
Location - it listed itself right along the waters; however, could barely see water over the number of trees and homes in the way.
I don't remember seeing it listed as a B&B; however, we were the only car in the car park and as far as I knew the only "guests." It made us feel rather awkward in asking for anything - like maybe an extra pillow since the ones given were no more than 3 inches thick. Card swipe not an option and so we had to pay by other means making it even more awkward after 6pm and had all luggage in hand. We had to "shuffle" funds around to our "chip and pin" only card and then she agreed to enter in numbers. The next morning I tried to hand in the key to check out and told from the other side of the door to just place it on the door handle. Just wish it was a bit more friendier.
20 minutes from Eurotunnel, nice and easy in the mornng. Lovely old house, very clean and extremely cheerful lady when we arrived. Can't fault the value for money.
Carpet in the bathroom! That's a bit old school!
No tea or coffee at breakfast No staff service at breakfast Breakfast was minimal selection No heating in bedroom Felt cold all night
Large room. Very comfortable beds. Pleasant owner. Plenty of parking. Overall impression seems good.
No staff working over Christmas period so no cooked breakfast for any of the guests. Not stated and no reduction on room rate which includes this. Back of toilet filthy with stains.one small bedside light for family room. grouting on tiles black.really needs a spring clean.
December 2014 - Warm friendly greeting, good accommodation and value for money. Breakfast provided was excellent, no complaints. Would stay again and recommend to others. Thank you Seabrook House
very cold, bit overpriced for what you got. door was kept locked with no bell to ring.
The four poster bed in the 'Turret' suite was a welcome surprise and the room was just so large! The 'Fountain' pub just a few minutes walk gave a warm welcome with nice grub and a selection of ales. We used this Hotel as a close stay to the 'Le Shuttle' Euro tunnel to save traffic headaches - just a 6 minute drive takes you to the Le Shuttle' terminal - What more do you want!
Having to leave!
Proximity to Eurotunnel & Hythe centre which meant we could have a nice dinner out then get to bed early to get up at 4am to catch the train to France!
The steps down to the bathroom were a bit dangerous in the middle of the night!
We were pleasantly surprised with Seabrook House. The beds were fine, coffee/tea available in the room, full continental or cooked breakfast, friendly staff, quiet room and house. Overall great value for money. We were 2 couples. I'd highly recommend driving to grab a meal at Kings Head, High St.
For the price there are no complaints at all.
