Staff friendless, nice breakfast and short drive to tunnel.
Slightly dated decor, bathroom needs regrouting and no wifi
Location for the shuttle to France Rooms available to sleep 3 adults Beds clean and comfortable
Dated decor Bathrooms not clean with hair in showers, walls not wiped down, area round plugs needed cleaning, grouting dirty Wallpaper peeling from walls in bedroom Although table cloths laundered they were stained
It was my sons 4th birthday, went to port lympne zoo during the day, and stayed at sea brook in the evening , good location and evening was relaxing. Will book again
The beds were to soft
Always a friendly welcome. Nothing too much trouble and proprietor aims to please. Comfortable rooms with crisp white sheets. Flat screen TV. Very relaxed atmosphere. Come and go as you please. Excellent parking. Excellent breakfast.
Kettle could be upgraded as quite an old fashioned tea making set up. Shower needs to be a bit cleaner. Toilet brushes need changing as old and not very clean. The self contained apartment can be noisy if you are the room underneath.
Close to Dover and Leeds castle. The town is beautiful.
The staff was helpful in many ways but were not at all familiar with the area.
Shower didn't work fully. No colour coordination making the overall look a bit of a mish mash. Saw the room unmade as we arrived early. State of pillows was disgusting, carpet marked etc. Bed was clean however but on return home wanted to have a seriously long shower.
Very close to Folkestone for Channel Tunnel crossing and cheap, but for a reason!!
We booked the family suite, same as last year, which we had found just satisfactory for the price. However, this year, four of us had 1 knife and 2 forks to use for a meal. Cooker didn't work properly, no plug in sink or tea towels. Shower in bathroom broken, two towels between four of us - need I go on. No pillow in one bed and single beds slope so difficuly to sleep in. Hairdryer in double bedroom FILTHY and dubious stains on bedside lamp. Breakfast very slow so had to go without as had train to catch. Will not use again.
small room, bed uncomfortable, full English breakfast was poor, toaster only toasted one side of bread, waitress didn't understand english
Style of property. Spacious bedroom en suite.
Property in need of updating. Windows especially need replacing. Problems adjusting temp of water for shower. Can hear traffic all the time as it's situated on the main road into Folkestone. This is not a four star stay.
there was ample car parking and the bedroom was located downstairs
the building looked a bit tired and needed modernising. wallpaper coming away from the wall. not enough staff working to cover the breakfast rush. Dining area not big enough for all guests. did not seem very organised. won't be staying again
Convenient for the Channel Tunnel
No early breakfast provision. I had to leave at 6 am to catch my train
Reception system, no hot water, shower filthy, leaking toilet cistern, breakfast facilities unsafe. It wants a visit from both health inspectors and trading standards. Suggest it is removed from your selected list of hotels.
unacommodating staff. the hotel re-booked our room and stuck us in a pooky little room with mould on the shower.. refused to give us our money back when we wanted to leave and go somewhere else for our anniversary. Dated and old not worth the money, they simply sell their rooms on location. never again
Convenient car parking
Fixtures and fittings need renovating replacing, staff level of hospitality extremely poor. Difficulty in communicating due to their lack of English skills
The staff were really helpful & friendly.
Out of date decor, standard of cleanliness.
Friendly staff, very accommodating, good breakfast although a little unorganised.
Excellent breakfast and friendly staff
Room was spacious but could do with a upgrade. Good location for tunnel
Shower didn't work but didn't find out this until early hours when we had to leave for tunnel. Mould in shower. Lightbulb not working. Don't serve breakfast until 8am but don't state this anywhere as wouldn't have booked if known. Family traveling (2x children under 6) to France early hours of euro tunnel. When spoke to reception, was not offered alternative or a cheaper rate as we couldn't possible wait for breakfast at 8am.
family room with double bed and 2 twin beds, which suited us perfectly as we were traveling with older children.
Nice B&B, the four people room was large and well furnished. the location is good, the staff is kind. Nice lounge with sofas and books. Although they declare to have no internet connection a wifi is available in the breakfast room. Comfortable parking. We had a very good suggestion for a real Italian restaurant in Hythe,
Carpeting also in the bathroom, hardly compatible with cleanliness
We booked over 6 months ago and it was ideal location for getting on EuroTunnel the next morning. After reading TripAdvisor comments on way down we were worried. But no need to be, great location, friendly reception, local Indian recommended (very good), fantastic room for 4 and lovely breakfast. Could ask for no more!
Good value for money family room. location was perfect for us to get to the Channel tunnel. Owner was very friendly.
My daughters bed base had a staple sticking out and she cut her leg on it. Only a few of the light bulbs worked in the room. I made it clear when we booked in that we would be leaving at 6am the next day so i was annoyed about the lack of respect for us and possibly others while we were sleeping when there were some late arrivals and the owner showed them to their room but they never lowered the volume of their voices including the owner. These are my only issues.
Comfortable beds, off road parking and a convenient location. Short walk into town to get food from a variety of outlets (eat in or take away).
Small rooms. Advertised as having wifi but unable to connect. Tried to overcharge for the room despite pre booking at an agreed price. Breakfast service was poor with plates and crockery not being washed properly. No real personal touch and no apparant pride in the service on offer.
Our second stay at the hotel. Easy access to channel tunnel. Family room allowed for children over 16. An old fashioned hotel with plenty of character. Friendly staff. A nice cooked breakfast, cooked exactly as you ask.
