The room was very clean and comfy. There was tea and coffee facilities, something you dont usually get in a small hotel. The breakfasts were excellent, well cooked and hot. Plenty of toast and coffee.Late nights no problem as you can come and go at any time. Staff pleasant and helpful.

I particularly liked the quality of the bedroom, and the pleasant lounge and conservatory. It was also very convenient for Le Shuttle.

As above. They were happy to change our room as we do not climb stairs. This was done while we waited. Good attitude and helpful.

First impressions of the room "Turret Room" were very favourable, large open space, large en-suite bathroom, very happy. We did not sample the breakfast, therefore cannot comment. As a winter stay, the limited heating was not "due to start" until 5.00pm, therefore we returned at 4.30pm to a freezing cold room, which had not heated after 1-hr. Limited and very dated tv (only 3 channels), terrible mattress therefore limited sleep. If the price is right, then the hotel is an option that you could consider.

There were 3 of us each with our own room, each room was spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, en suite with lots of towels that were changed every day. It was warm and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, breakfast in the dining room was lovely and service was good. I would recommend Sea Brook House to anyone to stay in and I intend to return on my next visit.

It's location made it a good choice for where I was working for the week. Reception/kitchen staff were not always available (i.e. no-one around for check-in, or for breakfast on one of the days) - but were reasonably helpful when they were around.

Excellent room nice & clean & comfortable good en-suite facilities,Staff that we saw (2) were excellent breakfast was really good (plenty). We could come and go as we pleased, good car parking. We would stay again if in the area with no hesitation. Places to eat were within a 20 minute walk if you didnt want to use the car. Could do with bringing televisions up to date old tv with poor reception ,remote didnt work either (but we are being picky with this) everything else was fine.

It was a good loctaion for where we needed to go: Lympne Castle, and a reasonable price for a family room. The beds were absolutely terrible: old, soft mattresses with no support. The pillows were the worst I have ever experienced: Everyone had only one pillow which was 1cm thick and flat as a pancake. None of us-- myself, husband and 2 kids--slept a wink all night. The breakfasts were mediocre. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to a friend.

Our room was very large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent. Overall it was family friendly, spacious and comfortable. Good location - easy access to Folkestone and the RHD Railway. No Freeview in the room - would have been handy for our 5 year old son.

The hotel was very disappointing and nowhere near the standard of a four star rating. In our room (9) there was a broken window which was dangerously sellotaped to reduce the draft. We complained that the bathroom towel rail was not heating when we tried to switch it on, but nothing was done to repair it. The breakfast coffee was certainly the worst tasting coffee ever. The cooked sausages had almost no pork in them.

We booked because it was short notice and our usual hotel was fully booked, so availability and price followed by location were our main reasons for staying there. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served by a lovely cheerful lady and it was a very good breakfast. On arrival we were met by a sour faced woman. Pillows were lumpy and very uncomfortable. The bathroom has fitted carpet....never good!

It was clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and cheerful. The only snag was a faulty TV that should have been replaced after our first day I left a weeks supply of heart pills and hope they will be sent on soon!

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Access was excellent with no restrictions on comming and going. Parking facilities were very good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. They served an excellent breakfast and the tea & coffee making facilities in room were plentiful. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here to others.

All in all, OK for the price and location. Unfortunately my bedroom (10) seemed to have some loud electrical noise coming from downstairs which woke me 3 times and I finally gave up at 4.45am and got up! Although continental breakfast was available at 5.00am, which was good, there was no kettle in the restaurant to make tea / coffee.

“Welcoming and warm staff. This is a bed & breakfast so you feel like you're a guest in a beautiful private home as opposed to in a stuffy hotel. Very relaxing. Luxurious guest room decor, modern private bath, and simple but elegant made-to-order breakfast. Lovely patio with access to private gardens in the prettiest part of Folkestone, and just a block from the Leas seaside walk. Oh yes, and complimentary cake & tea or coffee, and a glass of wine or beer too. I couldn't ask for more!” Palmer, Buford, Georgia |
