price was the best in the area.
A little tatty and smelt like a residential home, a mixture of cleaning product and cabbage.
Staff very pleasant ...and helpful...hotel decor in general was excellent ..location is excellent ..plenty of parking ...
Didn't like the tired tables/chairs in the bar area ..we thought it let that room down .....as the decoration was very good...also our double bed was far to low and far to soft ....but the room was excellent ....entertainment there wasn't any....
the staff were very nice and friendly
food horrible blood on the sheets and the room was cold .
The hotel was not far from my intended place of visit
The mattress was thin and uncomfortable, the hot water ran out on the first night and was not available in the morning, the television cut out every 15 minutes, and the WIFI would not connect. Breakfast mushrooms were as black as coal and very greasy
Lovely part of the coast. Hotel right on the front. Although currently undergoing refurbishment every effort made to make you feel welcome.Very friendly staff , Good hearty breakfast and good choice of meals in the evening.
WiFi not up to scratch.
I found this hotel to be a great value for money and have everything I needed. They offered free breakfast and the food available at the restaurant is better than what's on offer in other establishments in St Bees. Staff were happy to answer any enquiries I had and were very approachable and accommodative. Free parking was offered and there were plenty of spaces available.
The wifi connection was a bit fiddly, likely due to the adverse weather I experienced and location which was no fault of the hotel, the gauntlet of speed bumps leading to the hotel is rather irritating, but again, this was of no fault of the hotel.
Loved the position of the hotel. Pity about the bleak conditions, but very atmospheric.
Lovely location, all of the staff were exceptional except one - "see what we didn't like"
The hotel is very tired looking and needs a complete makeover to bring it up to date. The barman on the friday night of our stay decided to close the bar at 1015 instead of 11 despite the fact that we and another 2 people were drinking and enjoying our evening. When challenged his attitude was one of "its at my discretion".
Love the food, the Mad Jock burger, very good value, great view and the people were pure gold.
Floor creaks a bit and the plumbing is noisy. Probably not much to be done about that though
Everything I've already said
Would have liked a king size bed
Friendly staff and good service
WI Fi does not Work in rooms
staff were helpful
the room was unprepared even though the booking was made one day before. had to wait long time to get a room and eventually when got one they said been given an executive room but there were no toileteries provided( which was part of the package) and linens were not clean. although my first experience was good for which i had booked a room again, but with the second experience I will not be going there.
The sea view was very nice, Breakfast quality was very good
Paying on arrival. No wifi in rooms.
The food was excellent off the menu and the breakfast was a good variety.
location of the hotel is great. We can walk to the beach. The price is reasonable.
We can't access the WiFi signal. That's very disappointing.
The view and location were amazing. Breakfast was wonderful and the bar food was very good value for money. Friendly staff and comfortable bed.
No free Wifi.
Came for a short break, and found the hotel excellent value for money and in an excellent location, will certainly return.
Could not get WIFI in room.
the staff very good we had problem with are room and they changed it to one of simlar second time stayed here will go back next year
Excellent staff and very helpful. Arrived about 7pm given excellent rooms. In the evening we where in luck to be able to go into the ballroom to and enjoy music of an 18 strong La'al big band. Which was first class. An excellent evening I will visit again and try yo make it when the band are plying. Breakfast was excellent. Thanks to all the staff
Can't find fault.
Brilliant location, staff are very friendly. Excellent base to help you relax.
That i had to stay just one night.
The location it superb but the actual hotel it's more likely a Motel Then a actually Hotel. From the pictures on the website you don't realize that until you get there.
Rooms were a bit dated and in need of modernisation. But very comfortable bed and friendly staff.
