Sound location with a short stroll into the centre of town. Ours was a cosy stop in a bijou room. Lovely breakfast.
friendly service, good English breakfast, clean room, very close to the center
no car park
Location room and breakfast
WE WERE TOLD THE DOUBLE ROOM WAS ON THE TOP FLOOR WHICH WE ACCEPTED BUT DID NOT REALIZE IT WAS THE ATTIC SPACE. THE ROOM WAS SMALL AND ALISON TOLD US THAT NEXT YEAR IT WOULD BE EXTENTED TAKING IN THE NEXT ROOM. THE END OF THE BED TO THE WALL WAS 11 INCHES; I THINK THE ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER DESIGNED AS A SINGLE ROOM. THE EN- SUITE WAS VERY SMALL UNABLE TO WASH YOUR FACE OR CLEAN YOUR TEETH OVER THE SINK DUE TO THE GLASS SHELF ABOVE. THE SHOWER HEAD WAS FAULTY AND WOULD NOT STAY AT THE TOP OF THE COLUMN. THE BREAKFAST WAS AVERAGE, IVE HAD BETTER. WI-FI WAS NOT AVAILABLE ON THE TOP FLOOR .
Good view of the Abbey from our window. Friendly proprietor
You need to ask for a scratch card for parking - did not know they existed until we had paid £7 for parking for the day.
clean friendly attentive staff, 1st class breakfast, nice and quiet close walking distance to the town centre, would stay there again.
Everything was excellent. Only downside was that we only booked for 1 night instead of 2 or 3 gutted
Great place to explore Whitby. Very Clean, Great Breakfast, friendly couple. Fantastic view from our bedroom window of the ruins of Whitby Abbey..
Shower room rather small but you adapt.
Excellent breakfast. Pleasant hosts. Out of the five or so places I have stayed in Whitby I would recommend this one.
Parking took a bit of time as we arrived mid afternoon. The only issue with the room was the bathroom which could have done with a lick of paint as was a bit worn, but this did not at all effect the quality of the stay.
Location , choice of breakfast ,spacious room , good hosts
Unable to pay by card Poor internet Room was quite cold
Everything was excellent, the room was good size, excellent decor. Breakfast was delicious every morning and Allison and Andy were great hosts, friendly and efficient. Would definately stay there again
Everything was excellent did not wont to come home excellent weekend .
Every thing we can't fault it fantastic hospitality -brilliant food nothing is to much trouble for Andy and Allison
Location was ideal for us as we had,nt stayed in the area previously. We were quickly shown to our very bright and well decorated room. The whole place was spotless and bed very comfortable. Our hostess Allison gave us a parking permit and we went to explore. The breakfast was well cooked and quality was superb. I would revisit next time in whitby.
Excellent, Andy and Allison (Queeny) private joke, are very hands on and made us welcome, accommodation and breakfast are spot on, every box was ticked, we are pleased with the experience, will use again highly recommended,
Very warm welcome on arrival, friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. Cooked breakfast was delicious. Excellent service throughout. Will definitely be staying here again
Very welcoming, Ideal for a short stay. Breakfast was very nice.
I wouldn't say I didn't like but the room 3 with an abbey view was a little small.
Very friendly B&B. We even debated staying another night but they were full. Lovely room and fantastic service :-)
No wifi that i knew of, but that wasn't an issue really.
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The guest house is in a great location and our room had a sea view. Great breakfast, set us up for the day. Room spacious and very clean. Couldn't fault it at all.
Great location, with fabulous view of Abbey ruins from our attic window. Great breakfast. Comfy bed
No effective Email. Shower that was alternatively boiling and freezing cold. TV didn't work properly.
proximity to the sea, friendly staff. An excellent breakfast.
the shower temperature was a little difficult to control.
good all roiund
10 out of 10 for the breakfast. My hubby is a chef and is always fussy when we eat out but he said the breakfast was also spot on :-)
The room was a nice size and host - Alison very welcoming
Very small shower room , especially when it's supposed to be a family room
breakfast was excellant.owners very welcoming and polite very clean.lovely tea facalities but more milk would have been nice.had to send for more.would stay again but not in that room.x
never slept well seagull noise was terrible all nite no fault of the owners but made worse as it was worse cos windows had to be open as very warm lovely view.we were attic room so no wi fi.my young one sat 2 floors down with her iphone.very small shower.
Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated attic room with fantastic views of the Abbey and sea. Good breakfast and were treated the same for one night as if we were staying longer. The owner willingly refridgerated/ toasted my gluten free bread and said he would have ordered some if he'd known beforehand.
Those flights of stairs but we'd happily climb them again and again for the room with the best view.
