The location which was quite close to the promenade and the white towels The entrance to the hotel was very run down and shabby as was the carpet going up the stairs to our room. We had to step over dirty laundry that had been left on the floor which we presumed had been taken out of newly vacated rooms. We then had to find the only member of staff for a toilet roll as there was none available in the room, there was no soap but the hot tap in the sink didn't work anyway, although we did have three sachets of shampoo!! The bed was very creaky and uncomfotable and there was a gapping hole next to the light switch. We were looking forward to watching the closing ceremony of the the Olympics but the television was situated on a table sideways to the bed and so we both ended up with a stiff neck. The breakfast was very poor only choice of two cereals so I was offered poached egg being a vegetarian I was quite happy with this choice until it arrived a soggy mess and was not eaten. On checking out I was looking forward to telling my host about my stay but I wasn't given the chance as the man just grunted and took my key there was no mention of " has everything been ok?" So we left never to return to the Seacrest.
