Score from 779 reviews Very good
Easy and convenient parking, very clean, Staff very attentive room with a sea view very spacious and spotless . Excellent service at breakfast .No hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone
There was a lot of late night street noise from people out of the late bars in the town . Having said that the hotel could not be blamed.Certainly did not upset our stay
Friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean, good breakfast and dinner, easy free parking, comfortable beds
Our sea view room (18) was very hot so windows had to be open at night resulting in a lot of traffic (and at times pedestrian) noise
Can't fault it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and tidy! Best breakfast we've had! Definitely would stay again. Would choose larger bedroom though!
Bed was amazing, great nights sleep!
Room was always hot even with window open.
Washroom facilities and lack of air conditioning in room
Very friendly and helpful staff Good location The hotel had a lift - essential as we were on the 3rd floor and had my 90 year old mum with us Road outside was quite busy but with the windows shut we could barely hear the traffic
the bedrooms were very fresh and modern. The decor was up to date and classy. everything you needed was In the room, complimentary water, cookies, coffee, tea and of course toiletries. everything was very clean. The shower room looked new and extremely clean. the dining room was bang up to date and the breakfast was great.
the room was a little small, but did not detract from the overall experience of a seaside hotel.
The bed was amazingly comfortable!
The room was too hot even when windows open.
Owners were very charming and helpful. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel was very good. View from room to ocean was great. Hotel was in a Victorian building, but owners had extensively modernized.
As was the case with most of the rooms we stayed at, the rooms were quite small and it was difficult to find a space to put our suitcases.
Decor, breakfast, parking facilities
Double room very small, lots of stairs to room from lift.
It was a bit outdated!! Corridors cluttered !The lift supposedly holds 4 persons but there was a notice saying only 2 persons should use it at one time!! I don't think Health and Safety would approve!! We did not use the restaurant as we were told the food was not great!!
Location, friendly & efficient staff, generally clean & well managed - good VFM.
No sugar with tea & coffee. Would be nice if they accepted small dog, but these are not big issues.
The location of this hotel was ideal for my purposes,The breakfast was excellent, my room was comfortable and there was a good shower, there was also plenty of tea and coffee.
My room and the window in it were both small.and being at the front of the hotel it was very noisy at night until well into the small hours, the disturbance was from traffic and the skateboard park. it didn't help that the weather was very warm and I needed the window open.
Lovely room sea view ,clean and comfortable .breakfast was lovely plenty of choice ,would definatley stay there again .
Would have liked to have been closer to the centre as I had a disabled person with me but hotel arranged a taxi so that was good .
Great location, clean and homely. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Free parking permit.
an all round excellent stay would recommend to others
Good location, value for money,
Our sea view room and We both enjoyed our breakfast one being a vegetarian option. Jenny from suffolk
I think a herbal tea option would have been a nice gesture along with the black tea kindly provided in the room.
Very helpful staff and great breakfast.
Excellent hotel, would highly recommend, all staff were friendly helpful ,courteous, the owner is a lovely lady who went out of her way to make my stay a more than pleasant experience,i could not manage the stairs to breakfast room and she arranged a table in lounge and had a delicious hot cooked breakfast sent up for me,our bedroom was Beautiful, with luxurious décor fab sea views and a bed so comfortable we didn't want to get up! one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our visit to the victorious festival. Very friendly, professional staff and lovely decor.
This hotel is in a fantastic location by the sea and where we stayed in a sea view room it came with a lovely view too!! The room was quite modern, clean, tidy and came with a VERY comfy bed :) The staff were also very helpful and very polite, asking us if we had a good nights sleep! We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
carpets were all a bit miss matched and could do with a little updating. also the random chairs in the hall ways we a bit of a hazard but these points were just being a bit picky as it didn't effect our comfy nights sleep :)
like every thing about hotel
Great location and a lovely, slightly old-school, Hotel. Breakfasts were good too.
The staff were friendly and inviting. The breakfast was very nice, with a great selection to tempt anyone's taste buds. The room was comfortable, with a very comfy bed and great shower! I couldn't fault the cleanliness. The room was cleaned and bed was made, with fresh towels for our second nights stay. Parking was easy, there were plenty of spaces at the front of the hotel and staff provided us a permit for the duration of our stay. If I ever need somewhere to stay in Southsea, I know that the Seacrest Hotel will be my first choice
