SeacroftRavenspoint Road, LL65 2YU Holyhead (Show map) Very good, Score from 112 reviews“Modern design, easy access to restaurant which was good quality.”
Melissa,
Chester
In Treaddur Bay, on the stunning coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the Seacroft is a pub restaurant with rooms, offering free Wi-Fi, superb locally sourced food and a cosy traditional bar. The Seacroft has received a 5-star rating from Visit Wales in its Restaurant with Rooms category. There are 6 individually decorated rooms, each with their own unique charm and each named after one of the beautiful beaches on Anglesey. Each room has a flat-screen TV, Egyptian cotton bed linen and a modern bath or shower room. The Superior Double Rooms have small private balconies. With a roaring log fire for the cooler months, and an outside deck for the warmer months, the Seacroft is a great place to sit back and relax in stylish and comfortable surroundings. The menu uses only the finest, freshest, locally sourced seasonal produce. The lobster comes from Trearddur Bay itself, from a boat based just a few hundred yards away. Hotel Rooms: 6

The close proximity to the port. Reviews we had read said the restaurant was excellent. The staff were not good. Tables were not laid properly, no cloths etc for dinner. Cutlery just placed down in napkins, not set out. We felt the service did not come anywhere near 5* as listed, nor the food. The rooms were fine, clean etc, but certainly not worth nearly £100 for a one night stay. On our return we stayed in an hotel at £105 per night, and it was miles better than the Seacroft for comfort and service and facilities.

The recent refurb of the bar/restaurant is really lovely, we didn't get a chance to eat there but the food smelt pretty good and the menu was appealling. The room was compact but comfy and felt homely. Breakfast was nice and relaxed. We stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned in that time, someone did pop in to top up tea and coffee but no attempt was made to make the bed/clean bathroom. We had to request clean towels and they took ages to arrive.

We did not get the superior room with balcony which we had booked. The room and en-suite we had was very small with limited headroom. It was noisy with the generator or extract fans outside the window. The owner said he had not received our reservation for another night in a week's time and this caused some inconvenience as we had to find alternative accommodation.

The rooms were nicely done out & the towels & bed linen were very good quality. The breakfast was very nice but I missed the croissants that were mentioned on the menu. Plenty of everything else though & nice & relaxed. We also had an evening meal which was very enjoyable - recommend the homemade burgers! The sink in the bathroom hadnt been cleaned after our first night which let it down slightly & my son had slept in my room on a z bed & they hadnt bothered tidying up his bed either. Neither were deal breakers & would go back but just felt they had let themselves down a bit

Decoration of rooms is very tasteful and comfortable. For a b&b it is somewhat overpriced, not sure where the 5* on Booking come from but it's definitely not.

The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Parking was easy with plenty of on-site parking available. Dinner in the evening was the jewel in their crown; beautiful food which I will definitely go back for. A little warmer customer service would produce the perfect experience

Convenient location, easy quiet area and delicious meals at hotel. Convenient parking. The room was little more than an attic space with severely restricted head room .... and only one tiny window. Definitely not worth 98 pound a night. The 27 stairs from carpark to room was difficult with luggage.

The food was excellent, our compliments to the chef. Waitresses need training on how to serve wine correctly. Our stay was very enjoyable after a rocky start. The balcony room we booked was not available, Patrick 'phoned to offer alternative, which we accepted. Rooms were in the process of being decorated and smelt very stongly of paint. Would have been nice to have been told about this when we booked. No mattress protector on bed! Hair on bottom sheet and dust and hair on mattress . Reported to reception who instantly offered to clean mattress and supply cover. Thank you to the Bar Manager for his prompt responce. I would stay here again if the beds were cleaned and protected better. Yes I would dine here the food was delicious - thank you.

This hotel is 10 minutes driving from ferry gates at holyhead. It is primarily a restaurant, so that there is excellent choices for dinner They do not serve breakfast before 8 am, this is very bad since most ferries leave between 8 and 9 at the port.

Relaxed and quiet. Problem with the kitchen so limited menu available in the evening; not their fault as kitchen equipment failure - not much choice within walking distance for alternative food options.

Very bright, fresh and clean feel at Seacroft. Nicely decorated with seaside theme throughout and lovely decked area for outside dining / drinking. Definitely the best place to stay in area. Disappointed that bar all shut up by 11:30pm on our return to the hotel, would have liked to relaxed with a drink or coffee before retiring to bed.

Rooms spotless, rather like staying in an ikea show room.fixtures and fittings, quality goods.Bathroom especially.Food very good.location good for an after dinner stroll along the bay.Seacroft handy for a nights stopover if your catching the ferry to Ireland. Food and wine although good we felt was a bit pricy.the room we had (twin bed) the window opened up onto the roof of the kitchen ex.fan, although it went off at night (between 1100 and 0800) but if the wind was in the right direction you had the food smells to contend with.Beds were a bit basic, but suited the purpose. When checking in you are led to believe there is a resteraunt, where you book a time,to eat but the truth is the dining area is the open bar area open for all to use.

Great location and the breakfast was excellent. We also ate in the restaurant at lunchtime and the food was great. The room was quite small and noisy, the doors on the landing were quite loud up to 11.00.

The Seacroft is exactly what it says - a restaurant with rooms. It was very comfortable, the furniture and fittings in the bedroom and shower room were of a very high standard. The food is excellent and the menu reasonably priced. The staff were very professional and dealt very quickly with the one issue we raised. Our stay there was very enjoyable. There are just two points. Firstly, our room was quite small, partly in the roof space with a sloping ceiling at one side. Care was needed in getting into and out of bed and moving around the wall side of the bed so as not to bang your head!! Secondly, the lack of a telephone in the room could make it difficult to communicate with staff in the event of a problem. For that reason, I would not recommend the Seacroft to a solo traveller without a mobile phone.
