The owners were very friendly, and helpfull, the breakfast was nutritional and very well presented, evening meals were very tasty. The hotel was very clean, bed was comfortable and fresh, ensuite was kept to a good standard, clean fresh towels available, tea and coffee topped up each day in your room , service given in the lounge or bedrooms if required, great being able to bring our dog with us and him being able to sit in the lounge with us and other guests, would recommend the lodge hotel to others, x It would have been good to have had a kennel out the back to put your dog while having something to eat, even for a charge, I know it is up to owners to look after their pets, but sometimes they cant settle right away in a strange place, and most owners would be worried about leaving them in the bedroom incase they distroyed anything. This is not a complaint just a concerned pet owner, who would not like the thought of their dog distroying someones property. I would suggest this to any establishment that state that dogs are welcome.

Ideal location for exploring town and countryside. In fairly quiet road but within walking distance of shops etc.Plenty parking facilities.Friendly staff and good choice of food in the bar with comfortable lounge upstairs. Hotel has been around for years which gives it a homely feel, helped one to relax.

Friendly personal but not intrusive service. Wifi, but no signal in our room so had to go to guest lounge for that. Good, freshly cooked food

Surrounding Area Lack toileteries. Only hand soap in bathroom. Poor attempt at making this a quality hotel. Dated decor. Bar meals poor. There was an perception that this hotel was struggling to maintain standards.

It is nice from outside and well located. Good breakfast. It is old inside, rooms much worst than in the pictures and the bathroom much worse, noises during the whole night due to the old pipes. I will never come back for the high price I paid in comparison with other places.

Convenient for access to golf courses and holiday area Catering was very disappointing and occasionally noisy late at night from guests smoking in street outside front door and immediately below front bedrooms.

The hotel served our purpose of visiting relatives. Breakfast service was good and there was parking in front of the hotel. Reception at 10pm was from a black girl, who did not initially come from the door she opened and only said "Hi". I had to sign a form immediately on arrival. Later she improved considerably, when she realised we did not appreciate such a greeting and helped take a bag upstairs. The management was not in evidence until payment time in the morning. At breakfast, both eggs were hard fried, the bacon was hard fried and the black pudding tasted strange. The breakfast room looks pre-fab. Hotel decor is dull and needs refurbishment; on arrival, there were drunks outside who were guests.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and her staff. How they went out of their way to meet our needs. The amount of soap and the changing of wet towels could be improved.

The owners and staff were very friendly all having a good sense of humour and an enthuiasm to help guests in whichever ways necessary. I felt very much at ease there as a single woman and there was a very easy- going atmosphere about the hotel. I don't want to praise it anymore in case it indirectly leads to them increaing their tarriffs making it unaffordable for my next visit! All-in-all an excellent hotel. Relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel gives a very good first impression, Loretta the owner was very hospitable and we were lucky enough to be upgraded free of charge to one of the suites - fantastic. The dining room service was excellent as was the food. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning next year.

Nothing. This "hotel" is pretentious beyond belief. Although it calls itself a "sporting" hotel, nothing could be further from the truth. What's more, rock/pop music was played quite loudly during breakfast. This surely could not be for the benefit of the type of customer this hotel seems eager to attract! Thank goodness we only stayed there for one night. Didn't like anything about this hotel.

The staff at the Seafield Lodge Hotel were fantastic. On arrival, we were presented with clear, concise information about the times of dinner and breakfast and the procedure for checking out e.t.c. The man who served us breakfast had impeccable manners and chatted easily with us and the others in the breakfast room. The room was clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom with plenty of hot water - one of the best showers I've had in an independently owned hotel! Due to the fact that the Hotel is just off the main road, it was completely silent throughout our stay. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone and would definitely stay there again.
