A lovely welcome from the staff room was small but it had all you needed for a short break, breakfast was great all freshly cooked as you ordered, just a walk from the beach, and in walking distance to all the restaurants you could imagine. Great stay and would recommend to friends The bath room could of been a bit bigger but thats being picky

Seafield House is a cosy place to stay with friendly, approachable staff. The hotel is clean and well presented. The rooms are a good size and well equipt. For our stay we were allocated a parking space, however due to parking restrictions this may present a problem for some visitors. It is likely that Brighton City Council parking charges strategy will drive visitors away from the city.

This was a perfect place to stay for our overnight trip to Brighton. The room was cosy, bed comfy, nice big tv and many free extras were waiting for us in our room ie: 2 small bottles of wine, cans of soft drink, bottles of water and snacks. This really made us feel welcome. Breakfast was included and it was at a high standard. The ingredients were all so fresh and well cooked. We had a car and were given an offsetreet park which was really convenient. There was a bus stop just up the road which took us straight into town. I would highly recommend Seafield House to my friends and family.

Enjoyed the stay very much. Visiting son at College, living just around corner. Had an excelletn deal from internet and room was comfortable with plenty of space. Appreciated that heating coulld be controlled in room as a cold week . Beds were comfy and faclities very good. Shower / toilet would be cosy if we were taller or larger - neither of us anywhere near 6ft. Would be nice if more channels available on TV but happy with what was on offer. Breakfast lovely and great location for beach and restaurants..

Close proximity to wearing I was attending a training course I have complained to the hotel and to booking.com regarding the cleanliness of my room. The bath and sink were dirty, I had to clean the bath before I used the shower. There was discarded chewing gum stuck to the bedside lamp base. The window sill was filthy. The carpet was stained. The milk provided for tea and coffee has curdled (all four of the miniture pots). I had to cancel my reservation for my second and third nights accommodation as my child was ill so I had to go home. I was charged for the second night (£120) I would like a refund for this night as the hotel room was not worth that money. I booked the 'luxury double room' and it was far from luxury!! It is a 3 star hotel (at a push) and they should charge accordingly. I would be more than happy to discuss this in greater detail should you wish.

Location is great for bus access, seafront and getting to main shopping/food areas, weekday pricing was reasonable, staff is friendly and, when it comes to helping the guests great. I asked when booking, for a "view" and they answered and came through...mind you they don't have views per se but they gave us what they could (top floor overlooking the back garden area) ! I spent a good deal of my early career in the hospitality industry...and I think what makes this Hotel far less than what it should be is the fact that it has all the potential to be great ! It has very nice well thought out features and amenities....the problem is that the property is all but abandoned by it's owner. The manager - Frank does his job very well and all the staff are helpful and friendly but that can't make up for the lack of ongoing care these rooms suffer. Example: sink wouldn't drain, bedside light didn't work, shower holder was broken, shower leaked - a lot, faucet was loose and wiggled wildly when used and when added to the other things that I would over look such as a very dirty carpet, towels are grey, bathrobes are a nice touch but really detract when so grey and stained around the collar, touch up paint needed everywhere…we're talking about many things that would take a matter of minutes to fix…that's what makes it really hard to excuse and understand. I don't see how this hotel in the state it's in could ever be considered "luxury".

Very nice large room in the middle of Hove, which is ten minute bus ride away from bustling Brighton. Good restaurants 2 minute walk away. Excellent breakfast. All hotels in England have soggy mattresses, and this one is no different. Was not a deal killer though.

Flexibiblity was great. We were down for our daughter's graduation. The fact that parking was included in the price was fabulous. We asked for an early breakfast at 7;00 and the cook was ready waiting for us (lovely breakfast too), we arrived late but had been given the door code and all relevant information to access Seafield House. Bedrooms had everything we could want. Absolutely lovely having wine and chocolates. Fabulous value for money compared with other places in Brighton. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. Finally - Monya was fantastic when I called her to confirm late arrival and request early breakfast - she was friendly, professional, polite, efficient, and totally helpful. The seagulls waking us up at 4 am and then keeping us awake!

we only stayed for 1 night at this lovely hotel, the room was very comfortable with good standard of bedding, great original features in the room, perfectly located to Brighton which is walkable. I had a very warm welcome on arrival which is just what you expect. The breakfast was excellent and could choose exactly what you wanted. I would definately recommend Seafield.

Room is small but comfortable and clean. Even a dvd player is provided. Under no circumstances would I term this a "luxury room" though, at least compared with plenty of other rooms I've stayed in whilst on my 3 month trip through the uk. Having said that I must also, in all fairness, state that it is by far not the worst I have been offered but ranks near the top of rooms I have had, just not in the "luxury" class. Staff is very friendly and good. Despite some internal mixup with the promised parking every effort was made (successfully) to get me promised parking. Included breakfast was acceptable. Onsuite was very small and cramped - not what I'd recommend for a longer stay. Provided fridge did not cool anything - made milk go off in less than 4 hours - it was a warm day.
