Seafield House  

Very welcoming staff. Nice touch with wine, water, chocolates and other snacks in the room. Good value.

I liked the whole atmosphere of seafield house. It deserve 4*.

Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms nice,with complimentary drinks. Break fast really nice and well presented. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Enjoyed the stay very much. Visiting son at College, living just around corner. Had an excelletn deal from internet and room was comfortable with plenty of space. Appreciated that heating coulld be controlled in room as a cold week . Beds were comfy and faclities very good. Shower / toilet would be cosy if we were taller or larger - neither of us anywhere near 6ft. Would be nice if more channels available on TV but happy with what was on offer. Breakfast lovely and great location for beach and restaurants..

Seafield is an excellant place to stay and very good value, the staff are friendly and the rooms are of a very good standard with the added bonus of parking (if booked in advance)

Location is great for bus access, seafront and getting to main shopping/food areas, weekday pricing was reasonable, staff is friendly and, when it comes to helping the guests great. I asked when booking, for a "view" and they answered and came through...mind you they don't have views per se but they gave us what they could (top floor overlooking the back garden area) !

I spent a good deal of my early career in the hospitality industry...and I think what makes this Hotel far less than what it should be is the fact that it has all the potential to be great ! It has very nice well thought out features and amenities....the problem is that the property is all but abandoned by it's owner. The manager - Frank does his job very well and all the staff are helpful and friendly but that can't make up for the lack of ongoing care these rooms suffer. Example: sink wouldn't drain, bedside light didn't work, shower holder was broken, shower leaked - a lot, faucet was loose and wiggled wildly when used and when added to the other things that I would over look such as a very dirty carpet, towels are grey, bathrobes are a nice touch but really detract when so grey and stained around the collar, touch up paint needed everywhere…we're talking about many things that would take a matter of minutes to fix…that's what makes it really hard to excuse and understand. I don't see how this hotel in the state it's in could ever be considered "luxury".

Everythng was jst perfect..cleaniness,comfort ,location and staff..was given nice luxury dbl room with wine,bottles of water ..jst opp to seaview gr8 location

Frank was an excellent Manager. He sorted out the parking for my car, escorted me to the room. Very able and extremely polite

The shower in the bath was a little on the small size. Otherwise, nothing!

Poor cleanliness, bed broken on arrival, gowns dirty, room too small - supposed to be luxury double.

we only stayed for 1 night at this lovely hotel, the room was very comfortable with good standard of bedding, great original features in the room, perfectly located to Brighton which is walkable. I had a very warm welcome on arrival which is just what you expect. The breakfast was excellent and could choose exactly what you wanted. I would definately recommend Seafield.

Room is small but comfortable and clean. Even a dvd player is provided. Under no circumstances would I term this a "luxury room" though, at least compared with plenty of other rooms I've stayed in whilst on my 3 month trip through the uk. Having said that I must also, in all fairness, state that it is by far not the worst I have been offered but ranks near the top of rooms I have had, just not in the "luxury" class. Staff is very friendly and good. Despite some internal mixup with the promised parking every effort was made (successfully) to get me promised parking. Included breakfast was acceptable.

Onsuite was very small and cramped - not what I'd recommend for a longer stay. Provided fridge did not cool anything - made milk go off in less than 4 hours - it was a warm day.

The staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent.

The hotel room had too much furniture in it which made it difficult to move around the room and the shower was very tiny.
