Surroundings and room
Only half an hour drive from home so never before gave it a thought. Excellent for a one night wee rest break without long travel that we wanted.
We arrived at 2 20pm and weren't allowed in room till 3pm deadline. Ok, thats official check in, but cmon. Room was ready.OTT.
Room was large with a sea view but as we could only book in at 3 and left after breakfast we did not have a lot of time to benefit from it Swimming pool was warm but changing facilities are too small WiFi was available in all areas free of charge
Mattress on bed was too large for base. It was very lumpy and had a metal spring poking through side of mattress just where you sit up to get out of bed Cooked breakfast was delivered whilst we were still eating cereal. You make your own toast which meant food was cold when we ate it There was no safe in room and this would have been helpful I feel this hotel is overpriced for the facilities available.
very friendly & helpful staff
We loved the friendliness of the staff and the food in the restaurant. Very good value for money.
Staff excellent, very helpful
Room required upgraded
Everything about my stay was perfect. I will be back again. I would recommend the hotel to everyone
Comfortable, spacious, good food
Sat for a long time with no one coming to take an order for a drink or food. The young staff stood and chatted to each other, watched the TV, had arguments during 2 meals about who was in charge, and generally made no impression of being interested in helping or begin attentive. I don't blame them at all but they need training in what service is. This was true if I was alone or with a colleague. There was no vegetarian food without cheese I don't think.
Friendly staff Location Food
Would have preferred a room/suite in the main part of the hotel
Views - when the rain and mist cleared! Window seats and views from room. Cosy hotel , using pool when weather bad, ease of access to beach walks. Helpful friendly staff
Very stormy wet night and window frames or something outside near them rattled all night.
Nothing all was fabulous
Everything except no tissues in our suite and poor availability of internet connection
In A 2 night stay I had to contact reception 5 times as Internet was not available and then when they rebooted it it did not last
Food was lovely, great service, fantastic location plenty to do and even treated ourselves to massages and a swim which were fabulous.
Very welcoming and room and food top quality.
Loved the food
Decore could be better
Food in restaurant and bar was excellent, facilities good ie gym, pool etc.
Bedroom was poor, toilet dreadful, ie tile grout and ceiling at shower area had blackish limescale
Lovely stay at the Hydro, we booked a suite and it did not disappoint, large room with lovely view and big bathroom with bath and shower. Had dinner in the bar restaurant and it was very nice, steak was cooked to perfection. Did not use the spa but had a look around and the facilities looked good. Would recommend this hotel for its nice relaxing atmosphere.
The door being knocked on by cleaners at 8.50am, thought this was a bit cheeky seeing as checkout is not until 11am.
Love staying at Seamill, have done atleast once a year for 14years. A friendly with a bit of luxury stay, great facilities at the pool and spa and yummy breakfast. The Fulton family
No pool snooker or gaming machines for older children nothing for them to do esp if it's raining
Excellent hotel in an outstanding location.New bar lounge looks out towards the sea, very nice to sit with a snack or dinner and a drink watching the sun setting over the islands.
Cooked breakfast a bit basic for such a large, busy hotel.Lots of cereals, toast and yoghurts etc.
The refurbished rooms are a massive improvement and are very stylishly designed. I am a regular visitor to Seamill and have had a most enjoyable stay every time.
The leisure centre was excellent, food was superb. Great bass for sight seeing and walking.
Our room was large and clean but had a slight foesty smell
Had a great night at the Aura bar with three local guys Views out o room were awesome looking out onto Arran and Ailsa Craig and beyond Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful
I liked the acre and attention of the staff
Although it was a budget room, it still looked a wee bit shabby in the bathroom, could be doing with a lick of paint in there. Other than that, an excellent hotel
