A great place to stay, staff are always pleasant & very attentive, great location, if you book a room its a MUST that you get a sea-view, its the best way to wake up in the morning, we will be back again & again.

A small criticism, at breakfast it would be better to have ice-cold orange juice & not room temperature, a bit petty but that's the only gripe.

Orangerie and the food was excellent, breakfast too.

The room (64) was shabby and the bed poor quality, definitely not worth the money we paid.

The location is lovely. The food is first class . The orangey staff were very welcoming and professional as were the bar staff during the day.

We choose a refurb room when booking not expecting to be placed in the middle of a section which was undergoing the refurb having to walk by rooms and hallway being pulled apart etc..our room was not the standard we were expecting and we were disappointed the cleanliness of the bathro which had mould round the bath and there was a large mark on toilet seat .. Stains on the carpet . We intended to use the spa and swimming pool but sadly were not impressed with our welcome from staff . We had been given a gift at our recent wedding a voucher for seamill and we were both eager to stay but unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations .

The hotel was excellent, breakfast was excellent, staff courteous and the facilities for children was great, kids club, football, crazy golf, tennis and football, and easy access to the beach

The floor we were on during our visit was being refurbished so early noise and having to walk through a virtual building site to our rooms. Hotel is a bit remote if you wish to visit any other local restaurants. But on saying that the hotel food was lovely

We were there for the Games as City Centre Hotel prices had been inflated. Room was brilliant. Staff attentive and courteous throughout. Orangery served up some great food and breakfasts were tasty and plenty of variety . Shuttle service to and from the hotel to the station was a real bonus. Short and relaxing hop to Glasgow by train avoiding all traffic hassle and stress.

Room was separate from main building and no covered walkway to main building from room location. Minor issue though!!

Our room was very large and had a great sea view. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room were excellent and we enjoyed using them. We ate in the Aura bar and the food was delicious. My husband said that the pizza was the best he had ever eaten (and he's eaten a fair few!!) Our 5 year old daughter begged to go to the Kids Club and she went for a couple of hours one night. The staff member running it was very friendly and answered all of my questions as I was understandably a bit nervous about leaving my child with a stranger. However, our daughter had a great time and was always busy whenever I went to check on her.

The beach was a bit dirty and could do with a litter pick. We wouldn't let our daughter take her shoes off as there was glass in the sand. Some of the holes on the crazy golf course were full of water meaning that we couldn't put the balls in them.

The cleanliness of Seamill is superb, beds were very comfortable and spotless. Seating area in the suite was large and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and couldn't fault it along with very helpful staff. Beautiful views too.

No air con in the room so we opened the window for air, which would have been fine if it hadn't of been for the 5 aside football pitch and children's playground right outside our window, you probably get the sort of noise that was created. Children playing is a lovely noise but when you want to relax not the best sound in the world, not what you would expect from booking a suite rather than a standard room. But saying that the positives definitely out weigh the negatives.

    Comfortable room but not cheap

Plain rather than great food, restaurant a bit functional rather than fancy Wedding parties a bit intrusive Ongoing refurb looks tatty No air con on hottest day of the year Small breakfast portion and limited toasting facilities!
