only that wifi didn't work in our room at the top of the house (but no problem)
Very quiet comfortable room (we were upgraded which was kind) and good facilities
WiFi a bit hit and miss - mainly miss
Warm welcome and friendly owners Spacious room - clean and tidy Great view and location Good variety and well cooked breakfast
There wasn't anything not to like in our opinion.
From the moment we arrived we felt special: Corinda and Russell are really nice (and interesting) people dedicated to making their guests feel exceptionally welcome, the other staff members also being very friendly and helpful. This is a charming hotel with a very nice ambience, comfortable with nice areas for relaxation and a bonus for us was that there is no tv in the lounge, so nice to sit and chat after a day walking on Exmoor. The food was top quality, well presented and served almost silver service. No scrimping on portion size either. Beautiful setting with excellent views across the bay and handy to walk to all the local attractions and Dunster and Barnstaple aren't too far away by car. Anybody wanting a relaxing break would struggle to beat this hotel.
Food, location, comfort, friendly staff amazing views top notch all round!!
We loved everything about this hotel. Glorious views over the Bristol Channel yet 2 min walk into beautiful Lynton. Lovely facililities, food and service. Faultless.
Called at 6:00pm as we were running late only to be told we were too late to book a table for an evening meal and that this was required by 4:00pm!
The staff were friendly and welcoming during our stay. The view from the room was excellent.
Nothing at all
We could not have been made more welcome by all at the hotel. As for the breakfast bangers... Superb!
The Location was fantastic with amazing views offered from our room and the terrace. We were able to check in earlier which really helped as we needed to get changed as were attending a weeding in Lynton. The service was excellent, room was comfortable and clean
Fantastic family run business and there pizza place is really good to
That our stay was so short, would have liked to stay longer.
Peaceful but close to everything, great views & luxury. Would recommend highly.
The choice of the owners to dub the hotel as boutique gives a real hostage to fortune. I have stayed in small hotels with comparable locations and pricing that didn't adopt this title where the attention to detail has been superior. The bathroom while functional was nothing more than that. The beverage facilities were the same, and despite there being a kitchenette in the corner of the room there was no fridge. The owner has a idiosyncratic and somewhat overbearing approach to hosting that some people will find off putting.
Review relates to Countisbury Suite. The room was a good size tastefully decorated and well furnished. The views are spectacular and the location very convenient with Lynton just 2 minutes walk for fit middle aged person. The breakfast was good with a wide selection. The public rooms are tastefully decorated.
Breakfasts were fabulous.
A very pleasant and quiet hotel at a superb location. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast too.
The friendly proprietors did every thing possible to make the stay pleasant
Amazing views, situated between two small towns that had lots of history. We took the costal walk to the valley of rocks and the view was stubbing!!
Attention to detail, really friendly owners, beautiful location and views, so quiet at night, lovely breakfast especially the fresh fruit salad
Location and excellent service.
Slightly tricky turning into carpark but once parked we didn't need to use the car again for 2 days as all amenities in house or close by and straight outside the garden to coastal path and railway to Lynmouth.
Good bed and pillows, large powerful shower. Lovely views and setting. Excellent breakfast.
Friendly welcome, directions on where to walk and delicious breakfast. Also, tips on where to see the white lady.
The hills in Lynton lol
He took our bags to the room , told us about the area , usage of car park after we check out , bed really comfortable!
We had a wonderful night at the Seawood hotel. A beautiful room with incredible views. Fantastic advice from the owners about local walks and places to eat. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone!
Run by a lovely couple - could not have been more helpful.
