Excellent friendly service to point of fitting us in their resturant on Sasturday after being informed it was full.

Access to the single room booked for my mother failed to inform us that it was up flights of stairs which had she been infirmed she would not have gained access. Also anyone tall would have been in difficulty with celing height. Overall not disable friendly and would not recommend for elderly infirmed or disabled users.

Fantastic setting and a stunning building - good facilities and room rates reasonable.

Fixtures & fittings very 'tired' - obviously old and in need of sympathetic refurbishment. Mould on grout in bathroom; yellowing shower curtain etc. Some attention here would improve the guest experience so very much. Also far too many 'Do this / Don't do that' notices strewn around.

It did what it said on the tin. There were no major disappointments although a vegetarian option requested was not available on the first day but was thereafter

The bathroom accommodation is dated but was clean and functional.

We enjoyed walking round the lovely garden and the view of the garden from our room.

We had a double bed which was very narrow and found it hard to have a good night's sleep in it. We would have preferred to have less furniture in the room but a wider bed instead. A minor point was that in the retaurant when we had dinner we ordered 2 different bottles of good wine. They arrived at the table ready opened, it is usual to open wine in front of the diners in a restaurant.

Dinner was excellent value with a wide choice and good service.

Breakfast was served cold and had to be returned - cooking poached eggs is not difficult!
