Excellent dinner in the restaurant (but breakfast surprisingly poor --see below) The ambience was excellent, room and bathroom clean and comfortable. Service friendly and efficient. Very pleasant location and delightful gardens. The breakfasts --surprisingly poor- in contrast to an excellent dinner. ("floor sweepings" muesli and cereals, cheap yogurts, canned fruit, croissants not heated as offered on menu but left unappetisingly in a pile-- gave an overall impression that it was all emptied out of the cheapest catering packs). They could do a lot better with a few fresh ingredients! |

Excellent friendly service to point of fitting us in their resturant on Sasturday after being informed it was full. Access to the single room booked for my mother failed to inform us that it was up flights of stairs which had she been infirmed she would not have gained access. Also anyone tall would have been in difficulty with celing height. Overall not disable friendly and would not recommend for elderly infirmed or disabled users. |

Fabulous hotel in beautiful grounds - attentive staff and excellent room facilites.The pool and spa were a real treat. There was a wedding reception taking place during our stay for which we were given not prior warning and I found the very loud music which kept my friend and I awake until very late followed by the slamming of doors and loud talking of the guests in the corridor after the event inappropriate for a hotel in this price catagory. |

Fantastic setting and a stunning building - good facilities and room rates reasonable. Fixtures & fittings very 'tired' - obviously old and in need of sympathetic refurbishment. Mould on grout in bathroom; yellowing shower curtain etc. Some attention here would improve the guest experience so very much. Also far too many 'Do this / Don't do that' notices strewn around. |

Very comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Excellent menu, well prepared food. Very pleasant grounds. Bathroom was perhaps a little tired, but it didn't aseem to matter! Bedroom and bathroom spotless. Club restaurant lacked character/atmosphere. |

It did what it said on the tin. There were no major disappointments although a vegetarian option requested was not available on the first day but was thereafter The bathroom accommodation is dated but was clean and functional. |

Nice Room & Clean Staff unfriendly - stand offish attitude. Clipped manner and wrinkled nose at my attire. After a day travelling and visiting sites (were jeans rather than a suit was suitable attire) - a relaxed evening would have been nice but the NO jeans or trainers in the restaurant was a bit too formal for me. |
