Quietness, staff and food. A very relaxing break.
Comfortable room, the Par 3 course had some challenges. We ate in and the food was excellent. Can recommend the cheese board, great local cheeses.
Quiet room away from traffic. Restaurant meals were first class. Excellent base for nearby activities and places of interest. Staff friendly and professional
restaurant was the only disappointment, comment from couple who ate with us meal lacked some form of sauce although meat was not dry.
Lovely spacious room. Excellent golf facilities. Wonderful bar patio for good weather.
Breakfasts slightly lacking in choice i.e. no yoghurts - prepared fruit salad would have been good instead of fruit bowl.
Lovely room in block a little away from the restaurant meant a very peaceful stay. Very good quality food. We did not play golf so can't comment on that.
Nothing much, except perhaps the three light bulbs which needed replacing.
Excellent size room and very clean Good Golf Course
Poor choices at Breakfast. Shower over bath Hard Pillows
Restaurant Lovely large room and comfortable bed Staff in restaurant and golf course really friendly
The room was really spacious. Nice bed. Really good breakfast.
Location, management, bedroom, bed, bathroom, relaxed atmosphere, not too posh, staff
food, too much stodge, not enough veg and salads, breakfast bread disappointing
Lovely, large room. Very airy, big bathroom. Quiet and peaceful. Dinner (rack of lamb) was stunning in a lovely environment and atmosphere. Breakfast on the terrace was a great place to be.
No over-bath shower that you could stand under, only hand-held connected to main taps. Breakfast was over-cooked.
The customer service is top class, friendly and professional Food is excellent and always a varied menu. We have paid far more for far less.
The room was absolutely beautiful and clean. Philip was the best host and very friendly and helpful. NO complaints could be made.
There is nothing to dislike
The room was very comfortable and clean
Wifi in our room was rubbish even with a booster and there was no signal on our 3/4g mobiles in the room
Location, relaxed, comfortable & endless hot water!
Lack of "shower facilities" - us Kiwis love a shower! No change in breakfast menu over our 9 day stay but found the chef very accommodating with out requests!
Loved the setting the staff were attentive but not pushy.. Good was excellent.. Room was lovely..
Big room and bathroom.Friendlystaff
Very small Dover sole at dinner .
Quiet relaxed environment . Bed , bath and golf facilities very good.
Superb staff. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the golf course but was still quite private. Huge, very comfortable bed set in a room you could truely relax in. Great meals provided by welcoming, professional staff.
The woman at the golf pro shop, which coud be separate from the hotel anyway was terse and grumpy.
Comfortable bed and lovely big bath. Very quiet. Great food in restaurant
The wifi was pretty awful
Lovely large room, very quiet location, easy drive into Hastings
Would have liked a coffee table or side table to put drinks when seated on sofa!
Large, comfortable room, big bed. Lovely food. Highly recommend eating in the restaurant.
Poor mobile phone and wifi signal in the room, but worked very well in the clubhouse. There wasn't a proper shower, had to hold the shower head. No blackout blinds.
Very good bed. Excellent staff.
No conventional shower in bathroom.
Very comfortable rooms, food in the bar, for buffet lunch and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Conference facilities were very good.
