Large well-equipped room with a comfortable bed. Peaceful. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. Extremely obliging staff who quietly went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one.
Great food, great staff
Signal on TV poor at times No shampoo No shower to stand in
Location, Facilities, Helpful Staff, Excellent Vegetarian Options, Quiet Spacious Room.
Really enjoyed our stay.
Convenient location Helpful Staff Comfortable facilities
Restaurant Staff , chefs, location and overall feel of the facility.
Not knowing if the towels, coffee etc.would be replaced in the room and if the wi-fi would work in the room.
Cleanliness, Staff, size of rooms where fab, Plenty of wardrobe hanging space, Very comfy bed, Quiet and tranquil. Lovely to have a bath in en-suite.
The dining facilities in clubhouse is away from hotel, so when raining, it's impractical for dining for evening or breakfast. Only bath in bathroom, no shower, great for me, but some people may prefer showers.
nice big room. very comfortable. staff very helpful.
hand held shower in bath.
The staff were excellent and friendly & the food of a very good standard.
Nice big bed and very clean. Food in the restaurant was also good. Will visit again.
Friendliness of staff, location, the room was very large clean will definitely return
It was all good
Grounds, rooms, restaurant, friendly staff
Calm environment, nice room, perfect big bath! delicious food!
Didn't get the view to the golf field and the room was smaller when advertised
big room and bath room
No X-tra support in bath room for elderly people
A great hide away
From booking in to departing everyone was so friendly and efficient the room was one of the nicest we have stayed in England the decor was just to my taste and the the bedding and towels all crisp and snow White the little extra touches of white company products was so nice too. I would throughly reccomend this hotel and if we every are in the area again it would be my first choice
Nothing it was all good
The location was super with lovely spacious rooms with gorgeous views over the golf course
When booking into an hotel it is expected that the reception and possibly a residents lounge would be situated in the same complex. Unfortunately these facilities at Sedlescombe are located some 200 yards away at the other side of the car park a walk not to be relished when the English weather prevails. The plumbing in the building also requires attention as the noise from the piping was constant throughout the night
A lovely comfortable room and had a good nights sleep.
Did not get a view of the golf course from our window as stated on the website. No proper shower only handheld over the shower.
golf facilities. beautiful course. large room with lovely view. reasonably priced food.
restaurant & bar where rooms are located would have been good. cost of using 9 hole course too expensive. two free rounds on the 9 course would have been more acceptable. Restaurant consistently ran out of dishes, glasses & no offers of more toast or coffee (had to ask). jg
Generous room size Great breakfast Friendly staff
Whole venue is invisible from the road at night which makes it quite dangerous as you slow down on a busy A road trying to find it. In addition there is no lighting along the drive toward the hotel making you confused as to where you need to go. The whole signposting is very poor.
Location and surroundings Room Breakfast
Room had quite a few cobwebs No shower
Great spacious and quiet bedroom and beautiful bathroom. The fields around are peaceful. Great choice for breakfast. Not far from Battle where the abbey is a must if you like history.
Long stains of coffee on the carpet
Everything apart from the bed-too soft!
We liked our room as it was West facing, so had the evening setting sun blazing straight into our room. Very large and clean bathroom with plenty of hot water on tap. The usual 'tea making facilities' and largish flat screen tv (i'd guess approx 27"). Food was superb and ample... no silly portion sizes here. However you do have to walk up to the restaurant from the hotel. Fine while the weathers good, maybe not so good when its raining.? Free wifi included, and plenty of parking.
ummm..... not a lot really. The entrance isn't lit up at night, so its VERY easy to drive right past and miss it if you're not too sure of its location. And the driveway isn't illuminated either.
