Loved the location and friendliness of staff.
The hotel felt dated and very creaky floorboards.
Good location with excellant views. The room was clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful.
location with beautiful view of the bay from the dining area.
old, peeling wallpaper, uneven floors, smelled musty, rooms small. expensive in august.
The hotel ware very friendly and the area of the town is great. Very easy to get fro glasgo or Edinburgh.
Everything was fab
Not much it was clean the staff where nice But the rest needs a complete refurb the is not a floor board that does not creek the bath was all chiped The tiles are broken don't need to say much ore
Hotel is dated and not worth money for bed and breakfast as breakfast is very limited
Old fashioned corridors and so so food.
Location in the front sea is pretty good
Old facility - refurbishment needed for bed and bathroom
The room, the view, breakfast, friendly, attentive staff, games room.
The lack of comfy couches - the room with board games and a lovely view would have been greatly improved with some comfy chairs.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was imaculate, breakfast service was very efficient.
The corridors to the rooms looked a bit tired and were abit of amaze ,but I suppose I'mnit picking there
hotel view staff very good rooms very clean
blankits on bed
My partner and I have been a bit ill since we have returned from our trip and my partner has visited the doctor since and the thing that we both did was take our prescribed medication with cold water from the tap in the room. This may be a coincidence however this has been our experience this time. And as a regular customer of Booking .Com this is a first for us Regards George
Staff were great, and location and views very good.
General ambience and fit-out was tired and rather shabby. Probably good value for money outside Cowal Gathering week.
The staff were very attentive to their duties, be it Reception or waiting staff. All were well mannered and of a pleasant disposition, nothing was too much bother.,
Nothing comes to mind.
Bathroom. No shower available only a bath.
friendly atmosphere close to esplanade proximity to town and shops
Small room dated with old bathroom. Anonymous in everything.
The sea view was good and the rooms were clean.
We went there for the weekend. We had a member of staff who was drunk phone our rooms at around midnight pestering us to go out drinking with him when we refused he proceeded to come to one of our rooms where I might add had a small child sleeping and let himself in using the master key he took from the night porter this was not acceptable. My sister in-law was very scared to go back to sleep in-case he came back in the room. So whoever uses this hotel just be aware of who has access to your room when your out or in your bed and make sure you lock your room properly so no-one can enter your room while your sleeping. The hotel itself was out-dated there was no entertainment during the weekend and the bar closed earlier than usual. Personally I would not recommend using this hotel to any-one.
I like the location and staff were very friendly.
View from our Room was sensational overlooking Firth of Clyde. The staff were wonderful, most welcoming and couldn't help us enough. Well done Susan,Will and especially Linda.
Breakfast was very ordinary, but if that is all we have to worry about - !!!
Views Breakfast service
Creaking floors and staircase Amount of noise coming in through closed doors from corridors.
Staff were excellent and very friendly.
Hotel facilities were not to our taste - old and in need of updating.
