Perfect location on the river Teign, lovely views of the estuary and wildlife, well equipped clean apartment
Very unhelpful staff on hotel reception when we arrived could not tell us where our room was, nothing to do with them/no idea. Nine "No" notices in the swimming pool which was used by lots of adults who did not like children in there, beauty salon put up barriers to stop the children watching a lady having her nails painted (they were fascinated with what she was doing) Would not plan to return again.
Appartments fantastic everything you need for a perfect holida.will be booking every year 10 out of 10 thank you loved it
The views of the estuary were great for bird-watching and the closeness to Hackney Marsh nature reserve was a plus. The rooms were comfortable although cold at night. Access to washing machine and dryer was a plus as we were staying for two weeks. Swimming pool was a good temperature and the gym was well-equipped. It was a good place to stay for two people and we would come back.
The Internet connection was difficult and caused endless trouble the first week. After that logging on every time we used a device was a pain. The bathroom is feeling its age and taps need replacing. The staff were cheerful and pleasant but it was difficult to know when and how the rooms would be cleaned. The sofa bed was an excellent sofa but made a very uncomfortable bed.
Very good all round and having the pool was great
The location regarding the estuary.
The noise of the nearby motorway .
I like that it had everything we needed e.g towels, cutlery, crockery, iron, hair dryer etc. the fact it's near the train line I thought would be a problem but actually quite quiet.
I thought that the main lounge was dark so we had to keep a lamp on for light. I thought that the apartment could of done with having a Hoover as we had a 12month old who likes to make a mess and couldn't Hoover for 3days while we stayed.
Staff attitude could be more welcoming and helpful. Maybe understaffed and letting pressure tell.
The size was good and it was quiet. Car parking was an issue sometimes of the day
Size of apartment, kitchen, view onto estuary, Passage Inn pub was excellent for food. Good free wifi
Noise from A38, location down a lane which was located off a road which was was a permenant traffic jam, not hotels fault but roads were a nightmare due to roadworks, took an hour to get to Torquay, less than 10 miles away.
not a lot
stifling atmosphere all right it was hot outside but it was scorching in the corridors and apartments one never had their bedding changed all week the sofa and chair needed replacing there was mould on the pans as they had been put away wet the same flat had the window hanging off on one hinge the noise at the front due to the trains was appalling very expensive for what you get
Fantastic view of the estuary from apartment window. Very large bathroom. TV in both bedroom and lounge, which as three of us staying in the apartment was a bonus.
Would have been nice to have info on the freeview numbers for the tv.
the location and views are excellent. very clean very helpful staff
Very comfortable, nice lounge with kitchen, large bathroom and bedroom. Views from the terrace over the estuary were lovely
Swimming pool was excellent. Comfortable Bed. Spacious and quiet rooms. Good Kitchen.
Last night we tried the Microwave It didn't work. The rooms were dark, needed a light on most of the time. Next time we will book early to get The south side.
Being near the Teign Estuary and easy access to Exeter, Dartmoor, the sea and lovely villages. Not a bad pub on site too.
mattresses were a little uncomfortable on the sofa bed
Lovely location on the river Teign and it's worth paying a little more for the views, especially if you like bird watching. Big bathroom was a nice surprise. Swimming pool and spa is an added bonus. Good value for money.
Sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable - as they all are.
THE SOFA BED, VERY VERY UNCOMFORTABLE
Great location and excellent value for money.
great location, friendly staff, welcome dogs, free on site parking
no mail service, never had to make my own bed whilst on holiday before! no change of towels, if I have fresh towels at home every day I want them when I'm staying in a hotel. Room was a bit tired and not really thought out for those with dogs
The lodge was very well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The location was excellent particularly with the balcony overlooking the estuary.
The views from the balcony were amazing and the kitchen was very spacious. Facilities were good and staff really friendly. Pet friendly and good shower! Would definitely come back again.
Needed to have a car if you wanted to pop out as country road not too safe to walk along in the dark. The sofabed wasn't too comfortable compared to the bed!
My stay was for work but certainly take the family
Brilliant set up, will be back. The pub does great food and has friendly staff.
