The room was a good size, clean, good tv. The bathroom was small but nicely appointed and spotless. Hotel is extremely warm, good breakfast!
The hotel is close to a very busy main road and there was a lot of traffic noise at night as we were at the front of the hotel.
Very comfy bed- was like sleeping on a cloud. Very friendly helpful staff. Short walk from paddington station with good local pubs. Lovely breakfast Very cosy.. Wouldn't think twice about staying again- it's fantastic
Nothing not to dislike
The hotel charged me more than i had booked for. Didnt use my pre authorized amount rather used more money which ended up blocking my money with the bank. The hotel then charged my card for some one else's room! I had to fight all day with my bank and hotel to get the money back. Also, the staff gave me irrelevant justifications and didnt accept their mistake
The room was small but just right for one person. The bed was amazingly comfortable.
no elevator and narrow stairs to get up to rooms
I rented room in £102 and what I a got is too small tiny room with broken window so called in the basement floor with too many stairs and very tiny narrow curridoor, in general very expensive, bad location, bad services,, broke my luggage,, I do not advise this hotel at all,, I am surprised how it is 4 stars, it cannot be even one star
I did not like the location, staff responses to urgent matter, very tiny room with broken window, very cold room, very expensive and does not reflect the quality, I moved to 2 stars hotel and was much more better,, I would not advise this hotel at all at all ,,, too bad experience I had in this hotel
Having hotel changed at last minute and being put in the basement.
We had 2 big comfortable beds and a decent breakfast was on offer.
The reason I did not find it value for money? because there was 4 of us in the room. Myself, husband and 2 grandchildren. 2 nice big beds, but the bathroom was the size of a broom cupboard! terribly small. The windows in the room where old metal frames and the draft travelling through the window even with heavy curtains was still unacceptable. 4 people and one very small slim wardrobe, good job we only stayed one night!!
location ideal to reach easily from Paddington. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Great to have tea making facilities in the room, and the biscuits were delicious!
very slow internet connection in bedroom, and had to sign in multiple times. Air vent above bed was always open, and on a very windy night it was continually blowing on me - had to stick something over it.
We asked for an upper floor room but was told that it will be a basement room. We told that we indicated upper floor room, it was changed to a ground floor room. The reception officer simply ask his colleague to bring us to our room without even telling us which floor we were in and didn't even give us an opportunity to ask which floor we will be located. The room faces the airconditioning and exhausts of the hotel. In the middle of the night, we noticed that the walls of the room were oozing with water. This is not good at all. as my young daughter is with me and it is not good for her health. We have stayed in lower ranking hotel but in better condition. I would suggest that Booking.com do a proper review of the hotels that they listed so that consumers will get more reliable info.
Close to underground, big room we got.
The rooms where smelly, like old moisture cellar smell, Hotel tried to camouflage it with smell detergent plugged in electric, All our clothing smelled bad after hotel stay, Not worth money we paid.
They moved us to a sister hotel 10 mins drive away from the hotel an 15mins away from the car park we pre booked with the hotel because apparently a radiator wasn't working in the room we booked , no refund or discount an nowhere near where we planned out whole weekend. NEVER AGAIN
The bed was very comfortable The rooms were clean The staff were friendly Location to Paddington very good
There seemed to be an issue with the Wi-Fi, One of our party was travelling back to USA and needed to book his seat and print his boarding pass but there was constant problems trying to connect to the internet on the computer in the lounge
Staff were not concerned however offered me another room awful they did not understand how serious this was. Told me no room service which there was and no food which there was, order a pizza was suggestion.
Space, comfort, bath robe, ease of use of shower, fact that window could be opened. Extremely handy to Paddington station and shops and restaurants.
Steps from lift to room, lighting, fridge too light, ie opening the door caused it to move from its shelf. Safe unusable due to lack of illumination and too low at bottom of wardrobe)..
Bed really comfortable and good facilities in room
The breakfast was not worth the money - it was quite limited and fatty - everyone fought over a toasting machine which didn't even work properly
The location and the bed
The bathroom had black hair on the sink. They said there was wifi but No. The radiator was making loud noise and we could not sleep. The refrigirator when u tried to open it, it came all out of place. Bad experiance.
COULD NOT GO TO THE BATHROOM AND USE THE BATHROOM UNLESS THE DOOR WAS OPEN
Location and style
I had an excellent room with a step down in to the room and step up into the bedroom area. The step down was three feet in from the door .There was no watch your step sign outside or night light to highlight the step. When trying to enter the room with case and enter card into wall unit I nearly broke my ankle. I have highlighted the potential dangers of this situation to the management on front desk to address the issue as a matter of urgency before they face a nasty insurance claim from an unforgiving visitor. Otherwise A very enjoyable stay,
Next to fire escape
Room smelt fusty Warnings within the room of previous soiled beds and alcohol overindulgence. Steps on entering the room. The poorest 4 star we have ever stayed in
Can get around easily and the underground was easy to get to from the hotel
- very clean - friendly staff - room looks very nice
- the walls are not soundproof at all!!! It might not be a problem if the neigbors thought of that fact at 2am! So i had trouble falling asleep or I woke up when someone got home in the middle of the night.
I don't like the hotel as per 4 star standard.
Good service and friendly staff. Cleanliness of room and bathroom clean spotless and spacious. Lift available Discount on breakfast if pre-paid for when checking in. I saved £25 on b'fast as there was 4 of us usually b'fast is £15pp. Safe available too in wardrobe.
The view from our window it was the back of the hotel I.e we had a view of a shed of some kind and no double glazing old windows single glass.
