Easy to find. Received a very warm welcome. I loved the dog blanket and bowl placed in the room. The towels by the front door so you could dry your dog after a trip to the beach. The suggested places to eat came in very handy. We loved the breakfast.
The only thing I did not like at Sentry Mead was the bathroom. There was no head room over the bath and toilet and hardly any power to the water from the shower.
The location was fantastic. It was very comfortable and we would definitely stay again if in that area. We really enjoyed the restaurant on the see front - a five minute walk.
Personal greeting by the hosts, nothing seemed too much trouble. The location, convenient for the beach but not too busy. The hotel itself, clean comfortable and homely.
Nothing, all was good
Location, the house, afternoon tea and staff
Sarah, Jean-Pierre and their team are all very friendly, helpful and professional in every way, from assistance with our luggage, excellent breakfast, and advice about the area with lots of leaflets of events and things to do and a comprehensive welcome pack. The room was spotless bedding fresh and clean with adequate storage space.
Good and clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff.
Very welcoming of our dog and the room and dining room were lovely. Evening drinks license and afternoon tea and coffee a very nice touch. Will revisit I hope.
No negatives at all
Very friendly staff. Wounderfull place close to the water.
Very clean and comfortable stay. The owners and staff could not do more for us.Everything we needed was accommodated even down to choice of food. Breakfast was the best we have had and we have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years. Lots of choice and cooked beautifully. Lovely touches like tea, coffee and cake supplied at 4 o'clock made our stay special. Homely atmosphere.
My son had difficulty getting the internet in his room.
Attentive service, helpful staff, quality choice of breakfasts, bike storage facility.
Shower could have been more powerful.
Sentry mead was comfortable clean had lovely views and breakfast was lovely. Also staff were very helpfull.
you need a car or to take the bus as The hotel is nowhere near anything that you can walk to. The bay with its café and restaurant are lovely but if you want to try anything different you need to drive and sometimes you want to relax and not drive everywhere.
Exceptional service, cleanliness, location and comfort.
Brilliant staff who provided personalised info on the local area and recommendations on where to go. Really enjoyed Sarah's home made jam! Excellent service and comfort.
Having stayed here several times over the years we were delighted to find the hotel had maintained excellent standards for Breakfast and accommodation. We love the quiet location and the lovely walks.
The most relaxing place to stay, wonderful staff, superb food, immaculate cleanliness, 2 minute walk from the bay, lovely quiet location, will definitely go back!

Everything was perfect
Excellent accommodation, wonderful breakfast served by a wonderful lady. Great location with a short walk to Totland Bay, where there is a great cafe and lovely restaurant/pub (The Waterfront) to watch the sunset.
Having to go home
Good and quiet location. Staff very kind and always ready to help you. Nice, cosy and very clean bedroom and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Private parking.
Everything, from start to finish, this is where we will stay when we return to the Isle of White. Could not fault a thing and would recommend to anyone.
Sentry mead and all aboard
This was our third stay for a weekend; we return to Sentry Mead because it is so well located, just by the sea, and the whole environment is familiar, comfortable and friendly. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the lounge and seating areas a great place to read and the garden in the early morning or early evening a lovely environment to relax in. On top of this, delicious breakfasts, friendly and extremely helpful staff. Easy to get to on the island's buses from Yarmouth - a perfect, quiet little corner on the coast to escape to for a couple of days' rest.
Everything about our stay here was perfect. The attention to detail and making sure that we were completely happy was the main plus point of the staff. My wife commented that it was the quietest hotel that she had stay at.
Very clean, comfortable and well presented both inside and out. Careful attention to detail and excellent breakfasts. Can thoroughly recommend this accomodation.
