Score from 1600 reviews Very good
The location is excellent, we were only 5 minutes walk from most visitor attractions, such as Trafalgar Square and Covent garden and a short distance from tube stations. The Staff are very friendly just what you would expect form a family run B&B. The bed linen and towels were changed on a daily basis. The English breakfast is fresh and because you serve yourself you can have as much or as little as you want, we found the staff in the breakfast room very pleasant and attentive.
We found the rooms were a little Small and could do with some redecoration, however we do realise the price does reflect this shortfall.
I liked the location.
I didn't like the fact that I had a toilet but it was not in my room.
Central location. Friendly staff Good cooked breakfast
Rooms small and basic, but quite adequate for our needs
Fantastic location for west end shows. . Covent Garden, shopping. Couldn't fault that. Despite my negative comments below I was really happy staying here and would do so again. Thank you Alonso.
Feel the decor could do with updating. Shower room was so tiny it was difficult to move and the toilet door opened on to the bed. We were in a quad room which was double bed and a single with a guest bed under. If you had to use it not sure where it would have gone. Dressing table too low to sit at. Needed light above or too.
relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms, full breakfast. Good all round value.
nothing at all
Location, location, location. Just great for our visit to Shaftesbury Avenue, West end, China Town - the lot. We would definitely go back.
Everything was great for us. Stayed in worse places and paid more for the pleasure.
Clean rooms Very quiet for the location Free wifi was fast + reliable Price was fair for location + London if compared to other places of similar cost
Room was small, would not fit a full size suitcase in the room + 2 people Price was on the higher side for what you got, but it is London and most other places charge a whole lot more for a whole lot less
Room was clean and serviced daily. Extra pillows were no problem. Great access for all theatres and tube station. Price was good but you get what you pay for, don't expect a four star hotel it is what it says. Would definitely stay again.
Cramped and noisy fan in en suite
The room we had was a twin, and it was huge! The beds were comfy. Location great. Staff were friendly.
Breakfast was bland, basic, and unappetising. The stairs are lethal! And the bedroom floor felt unstable, but I guess with it being an old building, that's to be expected.
Staff is very nice, especially two Polish ladies. Breakfast is really good and fresh. My room was very small but clean and cosy. Location is excellent in the middle of lively Camden, 5 minutes from Underground metro station and Oxford Street. A lot of nice retsaurants, pubs and shops in the vicinity.
The room was very small and on the 4th floor. Staircase is quite narrow so it was challenging to get your suitcase up and down the stairs. Otherwise I was happy with everything.
Perfect location for the theatres. Breakfast was a bonus although nothing amazing it was fine for us. Able to leave cases after checkout as were not travelling home till evening.
The steep stairs. No coffee in or any kind of milk in the room only teas. The size of the bathroom couldn't turn round and the extractor was useless ended up like a sauna room.
central location friendly staff breakfast
very small tv set
It could be an amazing Hotel but everything is like I visited 10 years ago... not even carpet has changed. Internet only works when you are close to the router... staff does not even know the routers name.
The staff and location
Lack of maintenance in furniture
Great area to eat out, and get to all the main points of interest. Close to theatres too!
The room was very small.
Where it was
Hard to find Our room (18) is very small but you get what u pay for
It was a great location and unusually quiet through the night for London. Had a lovely breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were smallish but certainly adequate and I would definetly stay there again.
There was a small issue regarding lack of power points but not a major issue.
Only the location near to Covent Garden.
Not really a hotel - more a doss house. No lifts despite 4 floors - staircase narrow and difficult to climb with a case. Room tiny - bed shower and very small toilet ( unusable ) crammed in a tiny box room. Breakfast deplorable - rubber eggs, burnt bacon and cold toast. Worst hotel I have stayed in in London and I am 64 !!
grim accommodation, decor & fittings, pervasive stench of drains in room, no fire escape, abysmal value
Stable Wifi, with kettle and hair dryer, good location (walking distance to 3 tube stations)
liked the location and 24hr access. great for an overnight stay. Bed was comfy and clean.
cooked breakfast looked great until tasted, egg was cold and everything else was just lukewarm. we were on 4th floor!! if stairs are a problem for you make sure your on the ground floor. whole place needs a good refurbishment.
The lady on reception is always helpful and chatty. Breakfast is always nice, coffee lovely.
Not a massive issue, view from our room looks onto office so only have to keep curtains closed if changing, Wouldn't deter us staying again though.
The only thing good to say was it was a good location
The food was awful, cold and not good to look at. We were on the third floor the stairs were very dangerous. The place was badly in need of upgrading.
We needed to check out at 12:00 rather than 11:00 - and the kind lady in reception was absolutely fine about that - which was really excellent.
