Was a 10 min walk from Charing cross station was clean and tidy and staff were friendly was good for a one night stay or would be for a short trip thought the price was ok considering the location would stay again if the price was the same
Just thought the price of the room could be looked into for what you get although was probably due to the location
great position as we had to visit Gt Ormond street, the theatre, oxford st and back to Euston. All walking distance. Great breakfast as well
we did know about steep stairs, hard to climb after a day of walking. The front door of our room banged a lot when other visitors were going in and out and in and out.
Location, adequate room size acceptable breakfast in a pleasant environment
Steep narrow stairs would be difficult with cases and part of stairs to breakfast room have no handrail
I liked the hotels proximity to everything. We wanted to be somewhere that was lively at night and this was the place. As a last minute booking, I couldn't have been more pleased. If I'm still on a budget and traveling with friends, I will probably select this place again.
The shower. The shower head spurts water everywhere. So, the first night it flooded the floors. Our bathroom's light switch also made very weird noises. ...All minor things Seven Dials could fix to make their guests' experience all the better.
Location is the best.
In-room Internet is unstable, but of corse you can live with that while you travel :)
Comfortable enough. Good location.
Booked an 'ensuite' arrived to find toilet was at opposite end of hallway to room. Shabby, in definite need of work on 4th floor.
The location It was quiet, no disturbing noise. There was a kettle in the room + & - It was fully booked, my room was on 4th floor so they suggested me to stay at the "annex" on the 2nd floor 3min walk away from the hotel I'm not sure it was a good swap but at least the staff try to be helpful.
The annexe was on a deserted street not so nice when you come home late (completely silent & empty throughout the house so do not know if anyone else lived there besides me). When I checked in on the day I had to push my way past the (narrow stairs) dental practice that was below my room and had the door open while a man got his teeth drilled. There was a refrigerator, wall cabinets, microwave & toaster (totally unnecessary) but no remote control so you could watch TV & no hooks so you could hang your clothes in the room. The bed was positioned so you had to step over it to get into the small bathroom. There was no duvet only a very thin & old blanket, it was freezing cold in the room so it was impossible to sleep. The breakfast was lousy, I was there when it opened 07 o'clock yet it was cold toast, cold watery scrambled eggs, no milk or yogurt to the cereals would I have had consentrated orange juice to cereals? I got a cup of tea then the staff was gone so had no refill for my tea. I paid 103,5£, it was not worth the money. Had the price been half so I might have thought about staying here again but not at this price.
The location is good close to Covent Garden
Small rooms and basic breakfast. More like a hostel than a Hotel
The breakfast was a little disappointing. It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit. And perhaps more options for cereal and yoghurt as well.
This hotel is in an excellent location for the west end.
The steep winding stairs are almost impossible to negotiate with luggage. staff did not offer any assistance. my elderly mother had to struggle up and down the stairs which in my opinion are quite dangerous. the rooms were appalling. dirty, cheap furniture, holes in the doors, smallest shower room I have ever seen and too dirty to risk using. very noisy from the rooms above.
The only good thing about this B&B was it was close to all the theaters
This B&B did not feel safe as i have a visul impairment and i felt that unsafe as the B&B did not say that they had curved stairs that are uneven and hard to see as the carpet is so dark and the lighting is so poor that there is an accident waiting to happen as someone could get hurt badly, also the room is not for 2 people sharing as the bathroom felt like i was in a cupboard and after a tiring gay you would like to come back and have a nice shower but its so small that you just want to get out of there ASAP
Very friendly room clean breakfast waz well worth it
I liked it all
Receptionist and all staff were lovely. The hotel was in a great location and the breakfast was superb.
Clean and cheap price with excellent English breakfast in the price( only available as an extra at other places in London)
May be a bit to basic for some travellers, but price must be given consideration in relation to facilities when you book!( most of time was spent exploring London so clean room was all we needed) so room and breakfast suited us well
Great location Great value Great staff
Nothing All good
they say theres an on suite bathroom but all you have is a shower the toilet is down the coridore. there was 4 flights of stairs to walk up with all your suit cases and back down every time. this was not the cheapest hotel on booking .com. never again
Excellent location and very nice people. Able to leave luggage safely. Good Wifi and TV. Comfortable bed.
Poor quality cooked breakfast. No milk provided in room, powdered whitener was awful.
Right in the heart of Covent Garden. Staff friendly and friendly. Like being in a smack village environment. Great fun! Good clean and excellent deals. Clean and tidy. Breakfast very nice.
Bedroom decor a bit tired and needs attention. Bedside lights not working. Bathroom very small and cramped. No working light over sink. Electrics faulty.
Hannah was very helpful.
Breakfast was disgusting. Location was incredibly noisy. Room was cramped and very cobbled and worn out. Didn't want to get into the shower, shower head was really dirty. Dim light in bathroom. No help with the bags. Really, you could stay in many other nicer places in London for the same price. It is in a very touristed part of London near Covent Garden if you like this sort of thing. I can't believe Rick Steves recommended this place!
Fantastic location, 10 minutes away from the theatre (we went to see the lion king) surrounded by shops, 5 minutes from Covent garden underground. Great room, we got a free upgrade when we arrived to a family room which was plenty of space and even closer to where we wanted to be. Breakfast was just what we needed, your standard buffet with bacon, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, beans, toast etc with a choice of tea or coffee. Staff were friendly and approachable and the room was clean and well maintained.
No complaints, if you're looking for a budget hotel in London a short distance away from shops and theatres then this place is ideal.
The location is great, a lot of things to do around the hotel
narrow stairs, small bathroom
Friendly staff, central London location.
Having to struggle with suitcase to the top floor vis very narrow & twisting staircase. No shelf for soap, etc, in shower and some lights not working.
Price, location, reasonable breakfast, clean, newish bathroom
small rooms, very little daylight, noisy staircase, felt close
