The staff were very friendly The bar was very understocked, We could not sit down and relax with a drink that we liked, there was no Barcardi, no magners cider, we told him that is our choice but no one thought of getting any in the bar |

Hotel could do with a re-fresh. Bathroom had shower attachment but no fitting on the wall or shower curtain which meant crouching in the bath to take a shower or having a bath. |

Peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff - all 2 of them. No food available on arrival after a 3 hr drive. restaurant has closed since I was last there. I was not aware of this. Hotel feels a little run down now . |

I enjoyed the large airy bedroom with its good en-suite and I liked the atmosphere of the dining room and the well cooked food. The restaurant was available for breakfast only. |

Near to the city centre and in a quite location The website description of the hotel and the restaurants was incorrect as there were no restaurants and the hotel has no chef due to the rundown of hotel facilities when the owner died 4 months ago. The standard of brreakfast is terrible as the food is prepared by untrained person. I chose this hotel for its breakfast and the restaurant facility. |

very comfortable and clean. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Food was well cooked and very well served. Only problem was no facilities for evening meal. When I checked the web-site they were supposed to be available. I phoned before visiting and tried to book a table for dinner and was told that the restaurant was closed. staff were helpful about where to eat |

Nice old house retaining some quaint features. Comfy bed , well cooked breakfast. Facilities very tired. Needs spruced up especially bathroom. |

i really liked everything about it.a lot of people would find it to quiet and to far out but we loved it. right now there is no restaurants so you have to travel into town to get a meal at night, but we did not find this a hardship. we loved it. |

For the money - good value. Pleasant overnight stop. It was handy for where I needed to be but for a little more the APEX and Holiday Inn have better facilities. |

The food, except for breakfast which had very limited choices, was very good. The hotel restaurants, especially the chinese had excellent food. The internet connection on the wireless was frequently interrupted. This is not conducive to doing serious work. Everything shuts down at about 10 pm which is very inconvenient. My train was arriving very early in the morning and I called ahead to ensure that my room would be ready even if I had to pay extra. I arrived only to find that despite assurances it was not ready. |
