Loved the proximity to hyde park where we had tickets for proms in the park!
very cramped small rooms hardly room to move! Also further down the road of the hotel we came across a lot of down and outs near a hostel!
Someone checked in on behalf of me and i couldn't check in so referred to another branch.
I liked the location of the Hotel and the hotel staff/ services.
The room facilities are too basic and for the prices, it can be better. More space, better TV, and room service at all times for guest.
Staff very friendly and more than helpful!
Buffet Breakfast - very basic, not worth the cost!
Just round the corner from Bayswater underground station so perfect for getting around London. Arriving from Paddington, again only a couple of tube stops away so excellent transport links.
Room was a little on the small side but this is to be expected in London. Personally no problem for our couple of nights stay.
the recepcionist Victoria
Staff are cheerful and helpful
Rooms are too tight
While the hotel is centrally located, London is so big that you'll need to take the underground everywhere. This is nicely located by 2 tube stops and a number of seemingly authentic pubs and restaurants.
The mattresses were quite hard. I would have difficulties staying more than 2 nights.
- Location - Staff
- Facility a bit old yet clean
Staff and cleanliness
Could hear next door so walls need sound proofing.
Clean and very professional hotel, staff were very friendly.
Tiny room for the price
Very clean place Location
Rooms too small
I liked the location very central to the city of London also close to my daughter. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly.
We stayed at one of the Shaftesbury hotels in Bayswater. It was great value for money at a great location. We will consider returning on our next visit to London.
Good location and service Beautiful bar
Excellent loation. Very close to tube stations and Hyde Park.
Rooms are really really tiny. Only 10m2. It was not possible to move inside the room bc there is no space for bags. Two people cannot simultaneously in the room. No place to sit on other than the bed. Definetly no 4 star hotel.
Staff Location Style
Fantastic location for getting around to see the sights and is around the corner from a massive shopping center and a street chock-full of restaurants and mini grocery/convenience stores; it's also a hop, skip and jump away from Kensington Palace (currently housing three separate royal family exhibitions) and the beautiful Kensington Gardens (park). It's one of the precious few London locations which has air- conditioning in the rooms. Archna (Archie) the on-duty manager during my stay was always so bubbly, helpful and really very charming.
The room smelled a little funky and the bed was just a touch too short so my feet hung over the end (that being said, the room itself was uncramped, unlike the usual cupboards which pass as hotel rooms in London).
Great location- 2-3 min walk from bayswater and queensway stations, clean, great value for money. Best for solo business traveller Free internet ( also working very well)
Nothing that I did not like
- Window could not be closed, noisy throughout the night - TV did not have sound - no Hair Dryer
Location good and comfort to stay.
First room too small at 4/F. Not suitable for the person who come for the business. TV channel should get more.
A quiet location close to Kensington Park and only 150m to Bayswater Station. Staff were helpful in printing out documents.
Having my room changed when I complained about the cigarette smoke smell from within my bathroom (someone had clearly been smoking in there each night from the last guest)
The fact that the bathroom would smell like that anyway, the cleaning staff mustn't pay attention to details such as this when cleaning out rooms.
Location very good and I had a Club room and it is good
The location is awesome. So close to public transport. Rooms were cleaned daily and very tidy. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room was extremely tiny for two people and stairs within each floor made it hard for carrying bags.
