Excellent loation. Very close to tube stations and Hyde Park.
Rooms are really really tiny. Only 10m2. It was not possible to move inside the room bc there is no space for bags. Two people cannot simultaneously in the room. No place to sit on other than the bed. Definetly no 4 star hotel.
Staff Location Style
Great location- 2-3 min walk from bayswater and queensway stations, clean, great value for money. Best for solo business traveller Free internet ( also working very well)
Nothing that I did not like
Location good and comfort to stay.
First room too small at 4/F. Not suitable for the person who come for the business. TV channel should get more.
A quiet location close to Kensington Park and only 150m to Bayswater Station. Staff were helpful in printing out documents.
Having my room changed when I complained about the cigarette smoke smell from within my bathroom (someone had clearly been smoking in there each night from the last guest)
The fact that the bathroom would smell like that anyway, the cleaning staff mustn't pay attention to details such as this when cleaning out rooms.
Location very good and I had a Club room and it is good
The location is awesome. So close to public transport. Rooms were cleaned daily and very tidy. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room was extremely tiny for two people and stairs within each floor made it hard for carrying bags.
1. Professionalism/courtesy of staff 2. Room comfort 3. Excellent location and proximity to Hyde Park, Oxford Street, restaurants
The rooms were excellent, I booked a single room and got upgraded which was supper.
The staff , rude ! Didn't seem like I was good enough to stop in there hotel . Won't be stopping there again even if it was a good hotel !
Availability of Halal restaurant and souvenir shops nearby
Location, staff and cleanness was OK.
We have a (too small) room near the lift in the upper floor, so noise from it was unpleasant during night time, nevertheless we booked the room about one month before arrival.
Located conveniently near 2 stations. Not too big. Very well kept.(mostly) Staff were very pleasant
My room (114) was too small really for a double bed, it was difficult to reach the curtains the other side of the bed. Also the plug in the washbasin didn't go down properly so one couldn't fill the basin. Despite mentioning this at reception, it was not put right.
Clean room, comfortable bed, great location
Breakfast was very average, cooked food was cold, no fresh juice only the super sweet concentrated juice. But lots of other options locally for breakfast, so this was not a problem for us.
Clean rooms and bathrooms. Very modern setting.wifi was brilliant
Rooms were very small.no space for two luggage bags
Staff and location very good.
Great location in London, close to two tube stations and Hyde Park. Air conditioning, en suite restroom with shower, accommodating. Minimalist room, with US-standard plug already available. Had a wardrobe with a safe.
While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, some seemed more bothered if you asked for assistance. After being told they could order a taxi for me, they ordered a private car hire instead which charged more than a standard taxi. Also on days where I slept late, and had the "do not disturb" sign on the door, they would call my room (waking me up with the loud phone), and ask me if I wanted anything. Defeating the purpose of the sign itself. This happened multiple days during my stay.
We paid for a double room but the room provided on our first night did not have a standard double bed, it was almost a single it was so small. We had to specifically request a room change. Once changed, the room was satisfactory.
Staff and upgrade
The location is enjoyable, 1 block from the subway station and Hyde Park
The rooms are incredibly tiny, I could barely open my luggage in my room to set up my clothes in the tiny dressing. Despite a very "modern" design of the lobby, the amenities are out-of-date and not properly maintained. I used the iron steam on my brand new shirt (€135 De Fursac Egyptian blue cotton) before going to meetings and the iron steam left rust stains of the shirt... You cannot imagine my frustration when Management offered me a discount on my next stay. This is not going to replace my brand new shirt, and why would I want to stay once again in a hotel which doesn't pay attention to its clients' request! This is an old hotel so there is very little noise canceling amenities - I was awaken in the middle of the night by TV noise coming from other rooms. I was offered an "upgrade" to a club Deluxe room which exactly the same size and the same amenities, except for the view over the street... I'm always on business trips (Asia, Latin America, Europe, USA), and when I pay £170 (roughly $250)/night for a supposedly 4 star hotel, I expect a 4 star treatment... I'm sure you will find an equally well located hotel minus the disappointment for the same - if not a better - price.
We had an excellent stay at the hotel. Super location and everything in order. My wife forgot the wedding ring in the bathroom when we left. But the 'search team' headed by the maid Julia saved the day and found it. Will stay here again.
Very pleasant staff, lovely clean, well presented rooms. 2 minute walk to public transport.
Room is very small.
Closeness to Paddington Station. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced for a London Hotel although no breakfast supplied.
Room quite small although we were upgraded to a Club Room.
