small room for 2 person which located in front of reception area not suitable with a lot of noises
they way you moved me at no extra charge to the Montcalm
the first impression being told I didn't have a room.
Compact but high quality accommodation
Wish we could have stayed for longer !!
If you have trouble with walking up stairs then this hotel might not be for you as it has no lift, we had no problem with the stairs and had a great weekend and the best part was this Hotel.
Location was close to store where I was parking & close to a tube station.
Room & bed was very small. Legs hung off the end of the bed Only had a short time to sleep but had to walk to another location to check in. Not ideal after working for 19 hours.
room was very small and cold in the basement.
Club room is good size, clean and modern
Great location .clean.very helpful staff .
Very friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect, just off Oxford Street and Hyde Park. Big rooms, which were very comfortable. Perfect for our one night stay in London. I would stay here again!
Reception was small. My partner and I were the only people checking in at that time, if more people were checking in I'm not sure where we would all wait! No lift, but the staff insisted that they carry our luggage upstairs. Very helpful!
The staff were helpful and polite, the room was lovely and clean. The bathroom was excellent, rainforest shower as well as a bath and a removable head peice. The bed was so comfotable, also for central London, the room was quiet! Which was ideal.
I didn't understand why I needed to put a £50 deposit down when they have my details so if I had broken anything the hotel could charge me. The fact there isn't a lift may have been a problem if I was disabled or had heavy bags. The staff did offer to carry my bags though.
It's very handy for Mayfair. A compact room to say the least. But was fine and comfortable for a two day business stopover.
Not recommended for tourists staying more than a night.
late check out
It cost £350 a Nite and it was to much didn't even let us have eggs on toast for breakfast had pay more on top of £350 a Nite not good.
Good location for shopping. Close to tube. Walk away from winter wonderland. Good value.
Unavailability of breakfast.
Hotel is in a great location, really good facilities (good shower, skysports, mini bar, hairdryer etc.)
Staff were very slow, check in process was awful, checked in at one address to be told room was at another only to get there an need to check in again and no room available. Was asked to sit in the restaurant to wait to be attended to as there was a few people waiting, then other guests arrived and were seen to first. Other guests were offered drinks as they waited in restaurant but not us. Bed was of poor standard and sloped into the Middle from both sides. Some fixtures and fitting in room were hanging down loosely and window was jarred open and could not be shut, when asked reception was informed nothing could be done about it
The staff is very friendly and helpful
Great location, close to Oxford street. Clean room.
This probably was the smallest room I have ever stayed. Although the reservation information said the room is 14 square m, it seemed that the room was half as much. The room was in cellar with some kind of window, but no possible to leave the curtains open (since then everything can be seen from the street).
The cleanliness of hotel
Customers service location of the hotel and they way I was treated after I stayed by the customer service manager absolutely terrible say they will ring you back and never do will never stay with this company again
Location is good, free wifi and fast. Freindly staff and smiley faces (: I like it also because of the good prices compared to others. I will come back again to this hotel for sure.
No elevators , if you got a room from 2 floor to fifth you will dislike that for sure
The room size. No room service in the facilty .
Its location, the room size and the friendly staff
The non common areas and the very small reception
Value for money. Room size.
Reception were lovely wel to be honest all staff were so lovely and helpful helpful.... Room was so modern and so clean we loved it, nice comfy bed and comfy sofa, nice large tv and loved the mirrors in the bathroom perfect for doing all your make up in. If you wasn't happy with that we also had more mirriors in the room, one you can even check your outfit in, given shampoos, shower gel, body lotion minis daily or when needed even though we did being our own. It's was my boyfriends birthday so when we booked with booking.com we advised this so when we got to Shaftesbury Suites the front desk had done a birthday card with a complimentary bottle of wine so that was lovely... I didn't go for breakfast but my boyfriend did and he said it was a very nice English breakfast indeed and the staff done all they could for you.. Only about a 5min walk or so on to Oxford street, local shops on same road for drinks, food etc if needed... Thank you so much for a perfect stay we will definitely be staying again sometime specially when we need to do some shopping :)....x
The shower room could of had more space as there was no room to move about when you got out of the shower, you had to get ready in the bedroom and lastly whoever was above were really noise early morning 3am etc and it did echo/ sound and wake us up I think this is because it is more like a house rather then a big hotel
