I would definitely recommend this hotel to other couples. Had a bit of a mix up with the room, first room was a bit small and not what we booked, but it was sorted first thing the next morning. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and the rooms are spotless. Next time we stay in London we shall be booking the same hotel. Location is good - just a short walk away from Hyde Park.
Location is nice Staff good
Bed is not comfortable
The toilet was broken, the mattress was horrible, the TV didn't work and nobody come to fix it
Very comfy bed and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Room are a little on the small side but it's still worth a stay
Location wasn't as central as I thought
Near 2 edgwer roud
Staff are friendly Food at restaurant is good
No sound insulation and hence noise between the rooms are clearly heard
Bed was extra comfy. Breakfast was good. Staff were very accommodating and friendly
Air con was broken so caused 3 sleepless nights! And the window doesn't open far at all!
No sound prouf Tiny rooms and bathrooms No fridge Poor lightning in the room
Clean facilities. Staff are very accommodating. Easy access to buses and the underground.b
Poor internet connection
Location is really good for Paddington, Hyde Park and all the central areas. Interiors are clean and new. Free internet connection at a decent speed.
Single room was very small and underground, with no external windows. Bathroom really really small... up to the point it is difficult to enter the shower!
location beside paddington station
noisy room and a noisy housekeeping staff . the night reception staff were training indian with no experience but in general for the rush summer season ,,...
Good location, friendly staff, clean and maintained.
Rooms were small
- at our arrival they explained about a full booking, and they put us at their other hotel, the Shaftesbury Noting hill. Reading the comments, it seems that it isn't the first time is it happening. I didn't compare the quality of the accomodation, but I'm thinking they put the persons who booked with booking in a cheaper hotel. - the breakfast was really aweful ! The price is 15 livres, and the quality is very bad !!! Even if it was free for us, we prefered go outside for breakfast.
My room, albeit small, was comfortable and very clean. Location is very good.
Breakfast is terrible. For one, please serve orange juice which is not made from concentrate! It was disgusting and honestly the cost is negligible! Then there is the mushrooms from the can which were not fried at high enough of a heat so they released water. Really nasty stuff. Second, what's up with the patchy internet? It is 21st century people spend some money on coverage and bandwidth. Lastly, your front desk staff are very nice but totally useless in terms of providing information. They had to spend time googling sufff before they could tell me how to get to Buckingham palace. I mean really?!
Clean and comfortable; great for walking trips, tube accessibility ok
Long way from centre--£15 cab to Whitehall.
Front of house staff friendly and helpful
pokey room, very small and awkward shower room/toilet.
Small Beds , If you are over 1.75 your feet exceed the bed . There are blankets but not sheets (visit in July with 25-28oC )
Location, location, location. Other reviews talk about the small rooms but that's what you get in this price range.
Lots of construction in the area. Workers and trucks were right outside my window early morning. That combined with street noise throughout the night made sleep tough. Not the fault of the hotel and something mall hotels in the area would deal with.
Location is good
Small tiny rooms. I barely give it 2stars hotel. Advice not to stay in this hotel even if given for free.
The staff...totally amazing and helpful in everyway. The owners should be proud...they kept me spirits up despite a terrible nights sleep
stayed 3 nights. Room on first night was seriously tiny. Air con didn't work. Kept window open but right outside the window was an external air con unit so wasn't much sleep that night. A four star hotel, I have stayed in Better 2 star.
customer service Welcome cleanliness comfort bed
size of room size of bathroom shower
My airconditioning broke down and after two nights of not sleeping at all they immediatly upgraded to a more spacious double room with airconditioning to make up for the discomfort. That was nice.
There was no bar in the hotel and the rooms are very small. Showering is a challenge in the standard rooms especially if you want to wash your hair; your ellbows come out black and blue...
Superbly equipped room, comfortable bed and scrupulously clean - what more could you ask for?
The rooms are on the small side
