It was compact almost too small but it did have all the necessities needed for a hotel room, rooms had a relaxing mood, v contempory which i loved, excellent shower. On the morning I checked out I needed a shave. The staff were very nice and gave me a toilet to shave in along with a shaving pack as I had forgot one. This was free of charge. Overall very well worth a stay. The rooms were a touch too small. There was no bath so if there were kids this might have been a problem. |

Nice hotel, in a very nice area excellent access to centre of london and close to Hyde park! Feels a bit compact, corridors, bathrooms etc...feels like they've tried to fit in as much as possible into not much space! Also had a room in the basement which was near a pump (kept going off all night!). |

Utilities are well thought, i.e. plugs for the mains in European standarts. |

As usual they told me the floor i was staying had a problem with the AC and tried to send me to their Kensington facility (without discounting me anything of cousrse). This has happened to me the last 3 times that I have stayed there and I have been told by staff and guests that this is become common practice at the Paddington Shaftsbeurrys. The staff is very nice but the hotel managment are real clowns and were very difficult to reach when I refused to move to Kensington. Also, I asked for a double and they gave me 2 single beds which were super narrow for me. I've seen much worse in London, but for the money the value is not there. |

Location is very good if you travel from Heathrow. Walking distance to tube, convenient bus connection also. You can surf internet on the TV and it's free of charge. Breakfast is good considering its price if you book in advance. It is a good choice if you don't do anything more than rest in the room. Double room is kinda small. Shower place is also small. If the room had a normal 4 star size, its price would be around 100 pound/night. Size of club room is quite OK. |

I enjoyed my time at the Shaftesbury Metropolis London Hyde Park, we were only at the hotel for a short time so we did not get much of an opportunity to interact with the staff however the lady at the front desk was especially pleasant. |

On arrival we were offered a transfer to another Shaftesbury hotel very close to the existing one, due to the aircondition maintenance, for no extra charge. Transportation for that was provided by the hotel. New hotel's facilities met all of our expectations. |

I don't know why I received this questionnaie in Spanish. I do understand Spanish but prefer to respnd in English:-) Well, what I like the most about this hotel - which I really enjoyed staying at - was their great service concept including welcoming email with great guidance, friendly and service-minded staff and a neat comfy room well equipped with a table and chair for working, TV, complimentary coffee tray and ironing facilities. I have no bad marks about this hotel at all. There was a problem with heating (the heating system had broken down in the whole building) but this was swiftly solved by the hotel management by placing electric ovens in each room and explaining the situation to us guests. They offered free breakfast as a recompense for that which is a really nice gesture for a low-budget hotel. |

I liked the room, a bit small but very cosy, very comfortable. It could have been a bit cleaner too, they must have forgotten the hoovering at the end. Otherwise everything else was spot on. Lovely comfortable bed and huge TV with lots of channels to choose from. The service of the room on my second day was very nicely done. |

The hotel was ok and good value for money in a very convenient location close to the tube. I would not go back due to the terrible staff who were mid argument as we first walked through the door which made me want to turn around and leave. They were rude and unapproachable. With 2012 Olympics just around the corner people like this should not be in a customer service industry particularly in London. I cant be the first to comment on how dreadful the staff are so why has'nt it changed? Maybe its because the hotel pay them peanuts. |

I was transfered from Hyde park hotel to Paddington court which was disappointing. my room at the Paddington court hotel smelt of smoke and did seem small for a delux double room which was meant to be a birthday surprise for my boyfriend who had travelled down from Norfolk to stay at the Hyde park hotel. |

near to paddington station, many facilities are available in the room. My room is in the basement floor. I feel short fo air, and there is some type of smell in the air that made you think it must be used to cover some bad smell. The room was very small and i can hardly move around. Table is dusty and you can actually see the dust on the instuction maual. |

Room and hotel very clean and modern. Good location. The room was tiny and had no bath, though the shower was excellent. The "fitness centre" consisted of a basic exercise bike, treadmill and step machine. Hotel was hard to find from the street because the sign was so small and indistinct. |

Good location for West End and Oxford Street etc.Room was comfortable with all facilities including a fridge and microwave (Club room). Good size of TV.Good wifi (free).Free papers and coffee in lobby. Great Shower, nice facilities. Comfortable and clean. Room was small but manageable.Corridors are narrow and plenty of twists and turns. Had the feel of a good 3* rather than a 4*. That said I would stay again. |
