On the booking form it stated that breakfast was served until 9.30. when we came down at 9.05 we were told that we were too late
Easy to book
The wi-fi wasn't very good
Room was fab, food was great and the staff especially Danielle who worked in the restaurant was superb..
Staff were excellent and very helpful especially Mary. Handy having pub facilities especially food. Bed comfy with nice clean white sheets. Bathroom clean. Has a cosy feel.
Noisy room 9 above kitchen, sounded like being on a ferry, so had to close windows in the evening. Could do with a 'mind the step' sign on one of the fire doors, I fell down it on the first morning and jarred my back.
FOOD ROOMS STAFF LOCATION FOR TOWN SHORT WALK .GOOD ATMOSPHERE FRIENDLY INFORMATIVE. CONVIVIAL.SECURE.TRADITIONAL

The warm welcome from the staff
Staff all friendly and helpful , food good value for money
Very old needs a refurb . Carpet in room grubby , gale blowing through closed window. Room was nothing like photos on wed site / booking site
We liked the convienance of having the bar downstairs and close to the harbour for the next day. Good entertainment (Soul Singer)
The food was awful during the evening. The Steak was rubbery, Ribs were microwaved, didn't look very nice. During breakfast (which was actually nice), we waited 20 minutes for our tea and coffee, but saying that, bless her, the woman serving us was doing everything else around the venue from cleaning, to bedrooms, so she totally forgot. My main light didn't work, then found out I had to press harder and jiggle on the light panel to get it working, Toilet seat was loosely fitted. Shower didn't fully turn off. My friend in the other room had a broken bed. We were kicked out/checked out by 10:30, even though our booking indicated 11:00am check out time. Saw another couple also wondering why this has happened? - we asked about it and were told that it was actually a 10:30 check out and booking.com didn't change this?.. and I rammed my car into a black post when I arrived at 8pm, which was poorly visible, and the only indication it was there was a inch white line at the top of the post. Photos taken and now I may have to claim on insurance to repair the damage to both doors and wheel arches.. Surprising how much damage can occur doing 5 mph
Location, menu and friendly staff
Continual noise from what I assume was air conditioning units
It was a convenient place to stay that was clean and comfortable
The wi-fi speed is slow
Staff very friendly and efficient. Good food served at a very reasonable price.
good food and room
noisy fans ,not very warm, cold shower
comfort facilities value for money
closeness to main road traffic noise till late and then again early morning
nice place, friendly staff, value for money, all good. x
food in restaurant seemed a bit pricey. could have done with some budget meal-deals (pie and a pint kind of thing) or discounts for those staying in rooms.
The breakfast was good and the position was good for our destination. The pub seemed quite nice and the first member of the bar staff we met was helpful and obliging.
Very squeaky bed. Faulty thermostat making a noise all night and easy to hear occupants of neighbouring room. Basic things had not been cleaned.
friendliness staff good value compared to other venues nearby
No bath mat to step onto when exiting bath/shower. Inaccurate information about breakfast times . told ended 9.30 when in fact was 9 am .Inconsistency in housekeeping - bottle water and biscuits for second night but not first .
Food was good, staff were friendly
Room needs a new carpet and a good clean
helpful and friendly staff, comfortable room.
I asked for a quiet room and was given a room directly above the kitchen with what sounded like extractor fans and air conditioning units on the outside wall - not what I would call quiet.
Waitress who served dinner and breakfast.
Nothing else I'm afraid.
The breakfast was pleasant. Ideal location for hopping off the evening ferry.
The double room was tiny. The whole place was incredibly hot, radiators on everywhere. The room was very hot. It wasn't clean and the ensuite was not pleasant with mould growing on the ceiling and between the tiles. Very disappointing for what we paid.
Location was good
Wi-fi was extremely weak
quiet for location Pub food menu extensive Staff were friendly
It was in a good position for our purposes. Car parking was handy. Room and breakfast adequate.
Compared with The Boundary (Alfreton?) I'd say he rooms are a bit tired and need a make-over - particularly the on-suite.
Couldn't find night entrance \exit.
