Waitress who served dinner and breakfast.
Nothing else I'm afraid.
The breakfast was pleasant. Ideal location for hopping off the evening ferry.
The double room was tiny. The whole place was incredibly hot, radiators on everywhere. The room was very hot. It wasn't clean and the ensuite was not pleasant with mould growing on the ceiling and between the tiles. Very disappointing for what we paid.
Location was good
Wi-fi was extremely weak
quiet for location Pub food menu extensive Staff were friendly
It was in a good position for our purposes. Car parking was handy. Room and breakfast adequate.
Compared with The Boundary (Alfreton?) I'd say he rooms are a bit tired and need a make-over - particularly the on-suite.
Couldn't find night entrance \exit.
Got the room at a bargain price .. thanks!
The facility in the bathroom could do with some updating. The toilet seat was wobbly and was surprisingly not cleaned properly.
Price, friendliness, value bar meals and location for a ferry crossing Nice room too for the price Excellent value for money
Staff we're very helpful and friendly Beds we're clean and comfortable The food was very tasty and good value for money
Hotel could do with a little updating and tlc
Good bed linen Breakfast was good Staff Helpful and cheerful Meal in pub on night two for one and discount as staying there Very good value for money Easy access to Poole
room near very busy road by Hospital
The special price of £30 per room per night made the stay acceptable.
Character property Discounted meals - and good food. Evening staff friendly and helpful.
Vacuum cleaners left in corridors and stairways - a big trip hazard! Very cheerless staff serving breakfast room in morning
The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, plenty of it, and cooked perfectly..... after a really good nights sleep, the best start to the day... thankyou!
The car park had a lot of rubbish in it.
Staff were friendly, food was excellent value - clean sheets -
A few niggles - not all lights were working in room ie where there were three only two worked, in bathroom only one light worked out of four - we only stayed two nights- had it been longer may have said something. Room seemed quite dark anyway!!
Great welcome after a long drive to get there. Decor, good sized bathroom with a bath, comfortable bed, reasonably spacious room, tv, coffee and tea facilities, furnishings. Good value for money and would stay again
Squeaky bedstead Hole in the door needs repairing Early traffic noise but needed to be up anyway Had to leave for ferry too early to get breakfast but packed lunch provided was very adequate
Staff , very obliging and polite . Meal in the pub , good meal and good value .
Beds - noisy/creaky, mattress lumpy and quilt worn out and didn`t fit cover . Furniture really old fashioned , my grandmother would have thrown it all away years ago .
Menu for dinner was vast. Food was very good and good value for money.
Waited for approx 25 minutes for cooked breakfast and had to request 3 times for fresh orange. Selection of cereal etc was removed before we had finished and before time.
The Shah of Persia (SoP) is well located for trips on the ferries. It is on the outskirts of town so reasonable access to the main traffic routes. We had an evening meal which was rather pleasant and a couple of pints of nicely kept Marstons Pedigree. The room was clean and reasonably quiet.
The building is tired and could do with some refurb and TLC. Breakfast was adequate rather than filling although extra meal items were supplied if asked for.
We were made most welcome and provided with a packed lunch in lieu of breakfast, as we had a very early start.
Such a lot of heavy fire doors which were rather noisy, so that we couldn't make a quiet departure at 6.30am.
The staff were very friendly on arrival.
The bathroom was unclean. The bed was uncortable and noisy every time you moved. Breakfast, didn't have any, sat there for 10 minutes and never saw a member of staff the glasses that were set out for the orange juice were filthy so didn't want to drink from them.
Staff were very helpful and quick to resolve a couple of small issues for us. Packed us up with meals for the following day as we had to leave before breakfast. Thank you!
Check In is in a noisy bar. Bedrooms are in what looked like converted garages in the car park. Breakfast fairly unexciting in the bar.
The location, the decor of the room was nice, extra 20% off meals because we were staying there. Clean sheets. the breakfast was excellent, staff extremely helpful. Parking
The bathroom was dirty, not, the sink, toilet pan or inside the bath, but the skirting boards, outside of toilet pan and sink. A lot of mold on the tiles.
On the way to catching a ferry this is an ideal place to stop. Staff were excellent and very helpful: because of the early start, they prepared a packed lunch to take away. The kettle was faulty and it was quickly replaced. Single room was most adequate, clean with tea making facilities.
With the anxiety of getting up late and missing your ferry, the comfort of a radio alarm would have been nice. I am nitpicking as I was very happy with my stay.
