Shakespeare Hotel  

The room was clean and tidy,the breakfast was good and service not a problem

There appeared to be a constant greasy smell when going up the stairs I would presume from the kitchen.I thought it needed a bit of an upgrade /repaint as it looked a bit tired.

There was no shampoo in the shower; when I asked was told that we do not supply any. 10 mins later a porter came to investigate and noted that the shampoo hold was missing. The shower only had a hot water control the cold tap knob was missing. You would have thought that the cleaners would have reported that to the management. the room not air and stunk of bodily ardour and the whole of 1st floor had drainage smell. At breakfast time I ordered tea, the pot arrived but not cup or milk. When I asked for milk, I was handed a large jug of milk and told, "here it is but this is for the cereal" Absolute joke this place

Good location at a reasonable price and staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice home cooked food.

Room quite small but contained all facilities.

No hot water, and not informed about it when I booked in just when I complained was told ah yes its been broken since saturday. However nice staff who moved me to another room.

The staff were very friendly and breakfast choice and value was good own car park and booking in was very efficient rooms were warm and spacious

beds were squeeky and shower was cold in the morning and could do with a touch up on the decorations in places

Only one thing I didnt like was the stairs to the rooms , because I was traveling with my 94yr old Mother. I wish they had a lift or a downstairs room. But she managed the stairs very slowly and was fine.

Very nice staff in a good location to where I was working. Lovely breakfast and excellent heating in rooms.

Quiet,friendly suitable location for my needs ,very clean and comfortable good parking facilities ,and good food .We enjoyed our stay and when we need to return this hotel would be my first choice ,thank you
