Clean and Tidy
Simon and Michaela are excellent hosts who are happy to help out with anything that makes the stay more comfortable. The location of the house is convenient - in walking distance of the Marina and the small town centre with the restaurants. The continental breakfast included in our booking was excellent.
The kingsize bed is made for people who like to sleep on soft mattresses. For some this will be an advantage. For us, it was a bit too soft.
Everthing was great
Very friendly family, and lovely and clean.breakfast was good nice fresh fruit salad.
Absolutely fab, Simon & Michela were superb hosts. Breakfast was wonderful, I had two eggs, swapping with my friend Neil's desire to avoid eggs and concentrate on the sausages. Great black pudding too. we set off to Merseyside at 9-00am. We will be back!
Very friendly, house is beautiful.
Having to leave
Immaculate clean accom Quiet room overlooking garden Friendly attentive staff Good WIFI
If you're walking with luggage it's in the sticks. If you're tired and need a shower don't expect to get in before 5pm. Breakfast poor value full English should be included for the price.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Cleanliness Very modern facilities.
the house is lovely ,made to feel welcome by carol who was looking after us .nice to have a chat over breakfast.very nice stay
Fantastic B&B Everything is first class
Letting others know about this little gem. I want to keep this one to myself.
Very clean house. Quiet location.
Upon arriving at location after 3 hour drive, we were very disappointed to be immediately asked to remove our shoes which wasn't very welcoming. There was nowhere secure to park the car apart from the entrance to a cul de sac. My partner and myself had almost no wardrobe space as the owner had taken up and locked half of the wardrobe area. The breakfast did not include a full English breakfast which perhaps should be made clearer on the hotel description. We have subsequently visited 2 further hotels during our holiday which have been far more inviting and good value. We honestly cannot believe that this hotel has received a 9.5 rating so far from our experiences.
Comfort, excellence, breakfast presented beautifully.
Cleanness, friendly and helpful hosts, nearby Solent way walk
Nothing much but the coffee could be better
Felt like we were staying in someone's home Home cooked biscuits in our room Good breakfast Huge bed!
This place is fab ...The owners .The house, the location, everything. Could not fault a thing. Had the most amazing weekend . Walked for miles had fab meals out and came home rested and relax. Found everyone everywhere so friendly and helpful..The best..
Can't say a thing wrong :-)
Simon and Michaela made us very welcome. Our bedroom was well appointed, tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very relaxed and felt like being part of the family. Everywhere was spotless and we couldn’t fault the hospitality shown to us. Lymington High Street is just a short walk away and it was so quiet on our walk back at night that we saw our first hedgehog for a least 20 years! We would certainly recommend it to anyone.
Simon and Michaela welcomed us so warmly, into their beautiful home. We couldn't fault anything. We had a meal there in the evening, which Michaela cooked, of authentic home-cooked Italian food - delicious of course!! Grazie a tutti voi a casa Shalbourne.!!
Quiet location. Lovely home/room decorated to a very high speck. Great location for a stroll into town for an evening meal.
Great location Plenty of parking Super breakfast Exceptionally clean room & bathroom Hot shower Lovely people
Stayed at Shalbourne Hs for 2 nights, very clean accommodation. The owner, Simon was very hospitable and friendly. The choice of continental breakfast was good and served in the diner/kitchen amongst other guests which was nice and social. The double bedroom was a good size and equipped with all you would need. Super super soft towels a plus! Travel cot for toddler was provided with no problem as was bedding, despite being asked to bring our own (which I forgot!). The bathroom was VERY clean and high quality. You can tell the owners take pride in their home/business. Parking was tight however Lymington high street was within walking distance (10 mins) so didn't need the car so much. All in all a great B&B with top hospitality. Thanks Simon and Michaela (and Sally Anne!)
Convenient for Lymington town centre and walking on Solent Way.
Having to remove shoes going into the house every time. If pre-advised would have taken own slippers as those supplied were too small.
Every thing was fantastic, Simon and Michaela have reached perfection already. I was more than very pleased with my stay, and have been passing the name of Shalbourne House around my friends as a lovely place to stay.
Michaela & Simon made us really welcome. They cooked us a lovely meal too!
