Very friendly staff and excellent value for money. Triple room with Breakfast £65 just outside central London!!!
A little shabby in places but that was fine as we just needed a place to get a few hours rest. Tinned Mushrooms for Breakfast not as great as fresh ones but otherwise great. Very pleasant Indian Lady who cooked breakfast. A real gem of a budget hotel.
It was cold, not clean , not full English breakfast as advertised, old furniture
+ snídaně + wifi
- hluk z přistávajících letadel - blízkost letiště - vybavení pokoje - prý parkování zdarma, omezená kapacita - jeden den stání na ulici!
Location was great, 10 min walk to tube station
Breakfast was cold, room was located next to function suite so music playing into early hours.
Good value for money, clean, friendly staff, good English breakfast.Overall reasonably priced accommodation for a short stay with good access to London.
Have to accept hotel is convenient to Heathrow and therefore planes and traffic start early in the morning.
Value for money, staff very friendly and helpful car parking facility
Rooms need updating curtains very thin television big and bulky lack of electrical plugs
It should be more clean.
Rooms are a little small and could do with a lick of paint. And better tv
We had tickets to England vs South Africa rugby match and wanted a cheap place to stay, close to Twickenham stadium. The Shalimar fitted the bill. Short taxi trip to the stadium and the train station. Its not the Ritz but for £55 including breakfast (which was good!) what more do you expect. Yes, it could do with a lick of paint and some TLC but its a lot cheaper than others and as we were only using it as somewhere to sleep it wasnt a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful and as I've mentioned before the breakfast was good (full english, cereal, toast, fruit etc available). Would recommend to anyone who doesnt want to pay silly prices for somewhere to kip.
The pillows were hard.
upgrade tv no extra comforter
No duvet , just sheet and cover so very poor night's sleep. No lamps in room, just main light. Only instant coffee at breakfast
Wifi was ok. Staff was ok. Hotel is located more/less near the main shops.
Hotel is dirty and needs full renewal. The power sockets were broken, bed was terrible, old furniture inside which was bearly functional. Breakfast not that good. In general one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.
Convenient for my business trip to Hampton Court Palace
Very noisy both from live music inside and from aircraft. Depending on wind direction this hotel is right on the flight path to Heathrow with flight every 2 minutes at peak times !!! Bitten by something in the bed, not sure what !!!
after reading other reviews I was prepared with cleaning equipment and bedding but when we arrived everything was spotless. Really pleasant people are very nice . Breakfast brilliant. On Heathrow flight path so plane noise and hotel has a function room. However didn't bother us. Please give this hotel a try. Would definetly go back.
Tea/coffee making facilities good, shower, towels etc good.Friendly staff. Despite being next to the road it was quiet, I enjoyed my stay at the Shalimar.
could do with a plug in the sink .And the TV's reception was poor.
Convenient location. Near Heathrow Airport. Unfortunately that was the only plus.
The place is awful. Dirty, run down, smelly. Totally not worth £45 that I paid for the night. Ended up not even having cup of the after what I've seen swimming at the bottom of the kettle in the room. Mould in the bathroom. Springs almost coming out of matrace, curtains hanging on some sort of rope. It was nearly midnight and I stayed for 7 hours only, otherwise I would have walked out and look for a room elsewhere. By far the worst place I ever stayed in.
1980s décor Price Lack of parking
Helpful staff, convenient for airport access, on-site car parking, close to town centre amenities, good access to M25, en-suite bathrooms, work top in room good for lap-top, very good prices..
No chair in room that could be used with worktop when working with lap top, I had to use the easy chair with a towel folded on the seat and a cushion on top to get to the right height.
I liked the room. Everything was clean.
The tv was not working. The wifi connection was very weak. The room was connected with a twin bedroom and there was no lock on the door. There was no privacy. There was some strangers from the other room who just entered my room. This was very annoying. We were planning to spend the night there but we had to leave immediately. I did not find that safe.
Liked proximity to town centre and underground stations.
A bit noisy when events on.
no such !!
Staff was naughty, smelly room, no wifi. disgusting.
Hotel manager Satya did everything to make us feel more comfortable Will definitely stay there again
Quality of wifi was bit less acceptable hope when we go there next time they improve the quality of wifi
Very loud parties, weddings almost every night. Unable to stay in the same room for the period i booked. They gave me a different room because mine wasn't "available" after 3 nights. Access to rooms almost imposible if you have a big suitcase. Breakfast room very dirty. Water dripping from the ceiling in some places
Immediate booking a close to the locations we needed to be in.
The staff had no idea we had booked online. The parking is inadequate and we were discouraged from parking in their secure underground parking until after midnight as there was a party going on in the hotel which had taken up the spaces! We were instead told to park at a nearby garage which did not look secure. We were sent to a room in which the lights were not working, and then eventually shifted to another room. No towels are provided, no bed linen was old and musty and very thin, there were no duvets or blankets and the radiator was hot despite it being a very cold autumn night. We spent the night feeling cold and had to cover ourselves with coats to sleep adequately. Overall a very poorly kept and run hotel.
