The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. Beds were absolutely crap (but: clean, no bugs!). The door has no lock to speak off, which made us feel quite unsafe, we blocked the door with the chair...

The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly, we very much enjoyed our stay! The venue is perfect for a Twickenham weekend of rugby and I hope to use their facilities to stay for future match days! :O)

It was nearby at the point of our interest.Staff was helpful in a way. The hotel needs intense cleaning, the carpet on some parts are wet,it smells and lots of stains, unsanitary looking and the window glass are mouldy with mildews, dusty electric fans and the noise from flying airplanes.Given a good clean up,its worth for a budget hotel and will recommend it.

Convenient location, friendly staff, free WiFi (my room was close to the reception, that's perhaps why), included buffet breakfast, tea/coffee/sugar/milk/kettle freely available in the room. Hotel urgently needs renovation; cleaning is done only superficially: mould in the bathroom, foul smell in the room; hot water lasts 5-7 minutes - hardly enough for a shower; unable to tell whether bedding, not ironed, was changed before arrival, breakfast served only until 9am and rather limited in choice. Expect noise from landing planes as hotel is close to one of Heathrow runways.

We stayed at the Shalimar hotel due to attending a party at the venue. We've stayed previously, but some 10 years ago. It's a budget b&b with okay faciliaties, breakfast was nice enough As with any hotel in the area, you cannot but hear the noise from the aircraft arriving and leaving Heathrow - but the rooms are not really noise proofed enough, but we had kind of expected as such

The price and location to Twickenham Rugby ground The room was filthy and stank of cigarette smoke. We sprayed air freshener around the room and opened the windows which helped a bit, went down for breakfast (I'll get on to that in a moment) and when we cam eback the room smelt like an old pub back in the days before the smoking ban! Breakfast was comical. We couldn't work out who was staff and who were guests. A rather large woman in a dressing gown walked through the dining room with a big box of washing powder at one point, and we got the feeling we were causing hassle for the staff for wanting breakfast. I could go on about the state of the hotel, but for £50 for two b&b what do you expect!

I'm not a snob and i've stayed at many hotels over the years. I booked this place to go to the rugby with my boyfriend, £50 for the night and breakfast sounded ideal, I wasnt expecting much. However, on arrival there was no parking (we had to park down the road and move the car later, it defeated the object of drinking at the rugby, because when we returned from the rugby, we had to move the car nearer) the place had a function on and it was swarming with people, when I finally made my way to reception there was no-one there for 10 minutes, when they did arrive the chap was very polite and helpful. Outside our room door was a hoover which prevented easy exit or access to the room. The room door banged straight into a very large wardrobe, leaving about 1.5 ft to get in and out.The room was crammed with too much dated furniture. The bottom of the net curtains were mouldy, the curtains were hanging off, there were human hairs in the bedding, the fridge was very noisey, there was only one towel-room was booked for 2, flights coming in every 5 minutes, adjacent door was so thin that we heard our neighbours coming in at 4, the alarm was going off at 5 because the front door had been smashed in. Got bitten alive by bed bugs. Had no sleep. There was a towel stuffed under the bed, there was a 4 can beer holder behind one of the tables left by previous people, carpet was stained, dirty and not hoovered. We didnt even bother showering, the shower was mouldy and the water cold. Breakfast was a joke, polystyrene cups for drinks, had to ask twice for breakfast by interrupting staff in the kitchen, when the breakfast arrived, 1 bacon 1 sausage and 1 egg, didnt know who were staff and who were guests. Glad to leave the place, the people that had the newly decorated rooms were the lucky ones!! We'll never go there again or ever recommend this place to anyone!! :( The place should be shut down and environmental health should be making a visit.

Spacious room Address was very unclear, same road has same numbers twice. First we woke up a poor lady and her children when trying to find our way to this hotel. Sorry for this! Management really needs to write better instructions on hotel info how to find then. No elevator, incredible amout of doors in narrow corridors, difficult to go upstairs with a large suitcase. No vegetarian breakfast. Worst was a super powerful smell of incense in the corridors and smoke entering into our room. Other guests lighted incense in the rooms and corridors but management did nothing to stop this even I requested it several times. As an allergic person I almost choked. Horrible experience!

Compared to the rest of the hotel my room was relatively clean and well kept. Public areas, especially corridors, are rather tattered, stained and smelly. Breakfast only available till 09:00, and not exactly worth getting up early for. Internet so flaky it's practically useless.
