Ideal location, lovely room. Excellent all round. Would certainly visit again.
Great location, moden rooms, bright and comfortable.Breakfast was cooked as it was ordered and was fresh and enjoyable.
We had booked two rooms next to each other but on arrival were given rooms at each end of the corridor. As we were with our grandchildren I would have preferred them to have been in the room next to us.
We enjoyed the view over the river. Breakfast was tasty, although we missed having beans with our traditional breakfast.
The bathroom needed a proper self, as it was on an angle and everything fell off! The shower curtain and toilet roll holder needed replacing.
Ideal location for us free wifi good food in restaurant flexibility and friendliness of staff - offering breakfast after we missed it. have recommend plenty of people to stay there over the years.
Bed was too small for us - personal choice breakfast a tad early for us but did offer to arrange for some later for us so its a plus
Always excellent food, good value for money but best of all nice people.
I was on business and not pleasure!!
Everything, I stay every few weeks. Food always excellent.
We like everything, the quite riverside location, everything about the hotel was perfect, great room number 15 and a great bed. The food was excellent but above everything the staff were all so welcoming
Room, Bar, Breakfast, cleanliness
There wasn't anything
The decor, the location, the food, friendly staff
Thrid time of staying in this hotel, Great Value for money, Food was good, good location, clean tidy and staff were great. Would stay again
The bed was a little too hard for my comfort. Although difficult to control the guests were not that considerate when going to breakfast at 6.00 am heard every stair they went down including squeeky floor boards.
Everything Breakfast was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Even the beer in the bar is above normal pub standards.
Wifi in rooms not great
The food deserves a mention. Breakfast was especially good, cooked to order and very well presented.
Nothing of note.
Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Top marks for their training and approach. Or maybe people who live around there are just by nature very nice!
Steep stairs. Noise throughout the place - dining room especially so. Breakfast service ended too early.
View from the room
Bar area lacked a bit of atmosphere for a Friday evening
I liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. It was a comfortable environment, will definitely be booking again in the future.
The hotel is very well located for visiting Blackpool and we all enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were very pleasant, the rooms clean and the breakfast was really good. I was very happy to see real ale on sale in the bar and can endorse the staffs comments on the quality. We all thought we got good value for money at the hotel.
The grand children both though the room were far too warm, to get a good nights sleep, but on reflection,, was this a problem, maybe not. The car park was easily accessed, and very busy on the night we stayed. Unfortunately, when we were putting the case in the car on the morning of departure, we found some one had actually run in to the rear corner of our car, leaving lots of white paintwork and a dent as a souvenir of our trip. Again nothing to do with the hotel, but it would have been nice to be informed of the "accident"
River location near Blackpool, we didn't need to go into Blackpool.
It's our home away from home; a bolthole to get away from the madness of work! A beautiful location within easy reach of Blackpool or the beautiful Lancashire countryside.
Not being able to get here more often.
good location welcoming good facilities in room
it was all good
Nice location with view of the river, staff very friendly and helpful in particular the young girl who served our breakfast.Overall quiet and clean with good sized pleasant rooms giving good value for money.I would definitely stay there again if in the location
Have stayed at Shardriverside twice previously with a five year gap since last visit. This time we felt a considerable deterioration in the overall standard of the property; with furnishings looking tired, particularly the bathroom. Bedroom could take a larger bed but what was in place appreared a very small double.
stayed a number of times before in rooms overlooking the river, good size , great décor , great food, fab breakfast, friendly staff etc
the room we had this time, booked on line, overlooked the car park, and the stairs , both of which were very noisy. also a cleanliness issue with the room, which was much smaller than we had before....not as good as before.....wasnt offered any kind of reduction on departure. would still visit again....just not in room 5.
Pillows were terrible
The rooms were clean, comfortable, very cosy stay
