The setting and general feel of this establishment is outstanding. The staff are courteous and nothing is an issue for them, friendly welcome and professional service
This hotel is a distance from anywhere and is a taxi journey to any local amenities, £6 + for an egg mayonnaise sandwich appeared a little excessive.
noisy doors and early cleaning staff
Stayed at the hotel for friends wedding and thought hotel accommodation and service was excellent . Bar/ waiting staff very attentive with my young daughter.
Cleanliness of hotel and rooms, comfort of bed, quality of breakfast and value for money.
excellent value for money Food excellent apart from no vegetables available with meal
problem to find in the dark as signs outside say Shawcross Hotel Unable to get vegetables with evening meal
Location was very good Food was great (incl room service) Decor beautiful and staff very accommodating
Only 1 pillow on each bed and 1 spare in wardrobe. Although I am sure if I had asked I would have been given extra pillow. Maybe just make sure there is an extra one for each guest in wardrobe on arrival.
Well appointed hotel with good food and friendly staff.
All round a good deal.
The food in the restaurant was brilliant and service on busy night excellent, value for money out of this world and the decor and comfort for a seasoned business traveller was second to none, special thanks to Anne on reception and Irene in the restaurant.
everything you want from a night away.the food was fantastic and would go again for the meal.we don't live that far away. recommend it highly .
Food v good, service excellent Facilities v good wi fi first class
Why is the hotel name on the roadside not the actual hotel name I took 4 attempts to find it. Pillows not enough of them and far too soft.
The staff were very pleasant and polite, food good withgood service and atmosphere.
The signage on the road needs changing!Go figure!
Location good for our purpose, staff very friendly and accommodating. All facilities on one level not too many steps - 2 of the party have mobility problems.
Noise from rooms above very late into the morning. Feather bedding problem due to allergies (I am sure this could have been sorted but too late finding out already dressed for bed)
Key card didn't work No remote control in room No telephone in room- what happens if there is an emergency through the night? Can't sit on chairs to watch tv as it is placed to watch in bed not everyone likes this very uncomfortable saying this the chairs were really uncomfortable too No where really to put toiletries around sink in bathroom and this was an executive room Repeatedly knocked our knees on bed end corners not pleasant Long Problem with RAD points card when checking out I could go on...
Good location, friendly staff and excellent food. Superb value for money.
The rooms were lovely and cosy. Plenty of tea and coffee, usually only get one per person. Actual iron and board.
Very hot through the night. Buffet breakfast no rolls or croissants. We're not asked if we required more tea or coffee with our breakfast.
Everything I think. Room were to a very high standard. Nice biscuit and nice smellies. There for a wedding and the restaurant staff were fab - made sure my vegan needs were catered for and always with a smile. The wee dark haired receptionist on arrival was lovely and incredibly professional and helpful.
There was a wee green light above the room door that would not go out and we could not find a switch. My OH moaned about it (a lot!) because he could not get to sleep. The pillows to be honest were a wee bit wishy washy.
Fantastic value great location
Prawn cocktail was very poor
Enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.Staff were helpful regarding directing us to Strathclyde park.
Restaurant service and venue was very good.
Terrible scrambled eggs on toast at breakfast.
I have stayed here twice. The staff, the food, the room, location. one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a while. felt right at home
nothing really, my need a little tlc in some of the rooms
The TV in the room was a generous size and had a fantastic picture. The room was also very spacious. There is a wide menu. Please note Sat nav not 100% accurate.
I ordered a meal containing spinach but got shredded mangetout instead ?. This was rectified immediately.
I liked the bar and the restaurant and breakfast was good too
