Large room and big bathroom, tasty breakfast.
Free car park wi fi
Hotel kept very clean.
For the luxury room we never got our bathrobes, slippers and bath accessories as promised! The bed was two single beds combined with an uncomfortable gap in the middle.
Our Room...tastefully decorated..great...!!
Steps at entrance...but not a problem...!!
Location of premises and the friendliness of everyone at the Hotel.
room was very smart - clean - and the bed was very comfortable - clear instructions on how to use the TV and the Wi fi - which worked great
Clean, modern, helpful welcoming staff. Perfect for what we needed. Would definitely choose this hotel again in the future.
The position of the hotel was exceptional, just a few minutes from the seafront and less than 5 mins walk from shops. Very quiet position. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a much larger room. Slept really well. Staff friendly. Bargain price paid for what I received
Nothing bad to say
The room was quite large, spacious.....the bath was big enough for me and my girlfriend too
I paid extra for the juniour executive suite but found that it was only 2 single beds pushed together. The shower was awful with no power at all and the kettle leaked
I liked ťhe friendship õf staff the cleaniness of room and the sport of Judith ensuring that special needs are met (I had requested a room close to lift ând not many stairs. I need ţo üse a stick)
We did not have any bad èxperience all our needs are met
Got upgraded for free! Amazing location close to the sea front and the town center. Very comfy and warm room. Loved the massive kingsize bed in the family room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice and stylish hotel overall. Breakfast was very good, with the option of continental/english or both.
Not much to complain about. But if there was one thing I would say it's that the bed was very sloppy made. Looked like someone had slept in it on arrival. Obviously no one had.. but it just made a bad first impression. Luckily everything else was great :)
The position is really good and lets you easily explore the city. And the room was quiet.
I wouldn't consider this a luxury bed and breakfast. The bathroom smelled terribly of mold and really prevented us from enjoying the time spent in the room (budget). The breakfast was very basic, we expected more from a 4 star hotel.
One of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Nice people, beautiful room and wonderful breakfast 10/10
Nothing to possibly dislike
Enjoyable stay, very comfortable bed slept well. The room was clean and spacious.
Nothing, all good.
comfortable bed, spacious and quiet bedroom nice breakfast
no desk, even in the sitting room downstairs, limited light in the bedroom which makes reading not so easy small shower room
I began to check in and the staff member told me they had double booked my room :( but the sheldon staff sorted out the situation and upgraded me to one of there main queen delux rooms :) witch I was very impressed with, had to wait around for 30mins in the lounge while the staff cleaned the room because a customer only just checkout of the room, but that was fine and didnt bother me to much. Room was lovely and bed was super comfortable, room was very clean and bathroom to. Staff were friendly and professional. I will be booking again at the sheldon next time I come down to visit family and friends in july.
The breakfast sausages! I never seen a sausage so burnt to a crisp! It was so hard, you could of used it as a self defence weapon! I was watching other breakfasts coming out to the customers and there sausages were exactly the same as mine. Now im a big sausage fan and theres 2 reason why the sausages ended up on the death bed like they did on the breakfast plate. 1. The cheff just completely forgot about the sausage on the grill for a decade 2. The chef used the same cook sausages from the previous morning and recooked them on the grill to serve that morning. I go for number 2!
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. We had a budget room, which was more than adequate for our purpose. Coffe/tea facililities . Free wifi. Quiet room. Close to beach/shops/restaurants etc. Great breakfast. Good free private parking. Very comfortable. We would return.
Nothing to criticise.
We liked the lovely room, it was very spacious and elegant
The only negative was the shower, it wasn't very powerful, but overall very nice
Basically everything very good. Excellent breakfast and friendly, helpful morning staff.
I could have done with some help carrying my suitcase upstairs. The lad on duty sat and watched! I unfortunately had an extremely hard uncomfortable bed Although my daughter and granddaughter had very comfortable ones.
Good location, nice size room with decent breakfast.
Asked for a double bed but got two twins pushed together which was slightly annoying to sleep in.
We are regulars at the Sheldon now and are greeted like old friends the service is always very good and breakfast delicious can't recommend it highly enough
I really liked my room it was very spacious and the bathroom was good excellent shower . I thought the choice for Breakfast was extensive .
These are minor details . But i did notice some scuff marks on the wall in the basement . Also would have been nice to have the option of snacks say sandwichs , especially on boxing day where most cafés etc close early afternoon .
The proprietors were really helpful and put themselves out to accommodate my needs a couple of times, over and above what might have been expected. They were also very friendly and there was a very welcoming atmosphere. Lovely breakfast, clean in all areas and contemporary feel - excellent value for money.
Car park was a bit tight but was negotiable with care!
It was lovely and comfortable and fantastic value for money
Just felt a bit isolated being at the very back of the hotel on my own.
