We loved how clean and homely the place was. Our welcome was as if being greeted by a friend which was lovely! The breakfast was also amazing!
Our room was not very secure; late at night we had a visitor walk into our room. The house was very noisy at times, especially when any one used facilities above us as the pipework runs through our room. So sleep could have been improved.
The third bed was a proper bed not a sofa bed. You had the run of the house as the owners dont live there. Very clean and tidy.
Shared bathroom but we knew that, it was the only available accommodation on the weekend of the universities open day. Everywhere and i mean EVERYWHERE creaked from the bed to the wooden floors to the doors, take earplugs!!
Breakfast was all fresh produce and was a nice change from the usual full English.
The exterior of the property is extremely uninviting - so much so that we pulled away thinking this couldn't be it! No one there to welcome us.
Staff was really friendly and helpfull.
Very low level of privacy. Shared bathrooms should get a proper clean - mould. It looks like somebody wants to squeeze as much money as possible without investing a penny...
The sauna was a definet bonus and the breakfast was a nice change with all fresh fruits, salmon and makrel makes a change from the normal English breakfast.
The room was very noisy due to no carpets and had to wait quiet a while to use the bathroom as there was only 1 to share upstairs there was a downstairs sauna room which had a toilet and shower in but you can't get in if someone is in the sauna.
Location, general atmosphere, friendly.
A bit difficult to find.
Great interior and fab breakfast
Wooden floors means that noise travels
Room was large, lovely downstairs area and garden. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Shared bathroom facilities, perfectly doable but not something that I liked. That said the facilities were very clean.
Really friendly and relaxed. Lovely garden.
Parking is a bit tricky
Staff were very welcoming and lovely
Parking was a struggle as tree roots and fence it was tight to move around on drive
Very friendly and helpful staff
Only one bedside light for two of us Bed was a mattress on a box - not a proper bed No mattress cover
the place- taxi driver diffcult to find it
Excellent continental breakfast
No TV in either the rooms or the guest lounge. No hairdryer available, shower room downstairs
Felt like staying at a friends house. Spoke to the owner prior to booking who promised a substantial continental breakfast. This was really excellent with a wide range of food available including meats, cheeses and smoked salmon. A lovely place to stay.
Prefer en suite but there was no problem accessing toilet/bath/shower
Friendly, quirky, comfy room with good tea and coffee,
bit tight for parking
Fantastic. Everything. TY
The breakfast with all the choices. Also the girl who fixed it was lovely and helpful. Liked the sauna idea but really did not have time to use it. Taxi drivers were kind and on time.
Bed were unstable and one did break. Also prefer not to have sun glass ceiling.
Loved this place, it had real character and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff couldn't have been more attentive...fantastic. Although the guest house was a little difficult to find, it is most definitely a hidden gem and I'm sure we will be going back.
very enjoyable stay thank you again
Clean and friendly, lovely room and breakfast, extremely helfpul staff.
Pretty much everything. Most appealing was the laid back feeling of the house. No restrictions, lots of facillities . Come and go as you like, relax watch telly, play the piano, take a sauna. Nice welcoming place, nice people.
Shared bathrooms, although there were no other guests during our stay.
Nice modern decor
The tomo was on The ground flor by The breakfast room so we were woken up by all the early risers! But it wasn't bad...
not sure about the glass 'roof' letting daylight in at 5.30am....
Quite and garden large room.
Suna not working no shower upstairs
