Shendish Manor Hotel    

The space in the actual room was great and I love the openess of it being a manor. The rate was very reasonable to and we enjoyed a great long run along the canal too. Staff were good.

The shower was too small. There was nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom. The carpet was too big for the floor. There was a slight musty smell. There were no porters to help with our heavy cases which we would have happily tipped for.

Food was great and te staff were really helpful especially the duty manager over the weekend of 16th/17th, from the moment she checked us in to the moment she checked us out. Thanks for making it a special weekend.

If I was to be picky I would ask that that golf club didn't move barrels around so much on a Sunday morning.

Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable. All staff extremely friendly and efficient. Breakfast enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful, more so in the snow!

Directions to hotel difficult to follow for a stranger. The main road to town centre and a1425 seemed simpler. Advance warning of hotel drive would be useful - we were past it before we realised.

Staff were friendly and the hotel and grounds were very pleasant. Perfect location for visiting Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour which was a five-minute drive away. The children enjoyed playing in the hotel grounds and the food was good. Staff were accommodating and flexible. An overnight stop which felt like a mini-holiday.

The first bedroom we were shown was literally right beside the road, on the other side of the crash barrier. We asked for a different room and got a great complimentary upgrade. Had the hotel been full and a room switch not possible, we wouldn't have been happy. But the service was excellent and the situation sorted to exceed our expectations

Very good all around that includes, recption,room and service with very frendly staff. We had a very good dinner my wife loved the steak.

Billing issues - in error charges on my bill and that of my brother in law. Dealt with but should not be there.

The high standard of the hotel was wonderful. The staff very polite, friendly, smart and extremely helpful. Travelling with my disabled husband I am his carer, therefore the size of the bed was inadequate.

The only problem,which caused us a sleepless night was the size of the bed. My husband is disabled and I his carer. Usually the beds are enormous in the type of hotel of equal standard to the Shendish Manor. We stayed in room 21 designed for disability accommodation.
