Good,
Score from 258 reviews
“ Although the large television in the restaurant gives a hint of a transport cafe and the menu was limited in the extreme, the lamb shank was first class and all I could have wished for. The toilet paper is much the best I have found in a great number of hotels. The amount of parking space is very generous indeed. ”

Room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the Cockermouth countryside regardless of the A66 being partly visible. Corridor carpeting was worn and the dining area looked tired and resembled more of a canteen than a restaurant.

Value for money Evening meals in restaurant. Most served on hot plates so a lot of smoke created and poor extraction.

Pleasant comfortable room. Good value for money. Ease of access and parking. Excellent wifi connection without having to ask for password. Plenty of choice at breakfast with obliging staff. Large modern with plenty of channels. Usually stay at Travelodge, yours is by far better value for money. Bedroom too hot even with radiator turned off and window open. ( Better too hot than too cold,)

Everything to my satisfaction. I have stayed at the Hotel every year since it opened way back. I was at the opening reception evening. In summer, the bedroom curtains need a blackout lining as the room is very light at 5am.

Good room and en-suite bathroom The Spanish manager was a disgrace and very offensive . I was about to depart but my partner urged me not to cause a stir. He was rude and offensive but clearly though he was a wag. He fully believes that his staff like him but their comments behind his back suggest otherwise. I would imagine his background is a hotel on the Costas used to drunken youths and indifferent budget holidaymakers.

Efficient service; good basic provision in the rooms; plenty of parking space; fast service for breakfast; free wireless internet. Room was too hot (we slept with the window open, which was a bit noisy); full-English breakfast not much use to vegetarians.
