Good location for business. Was caught in a blizzard and was going to be late to catch 9pm deadline for meal - phoned ahead to warn - when arrived at 9.05 reluctant to give me a meal. Rooms tired - dirty carpets. Would not stay there again. |

Staff very helpful, breakfast good and room comfortable. The restaurant/bar area were OK but looked a bit dated and would benefit from a re-furbishment. |

That it was close to Whitehaven & accomodated 3 people with one room. Although others were close to Whitehaven, many did not take more than 2 per room & were way more expensive. Would have liked room service after 9PM. |

all the staff were very relaxed, friendly and helpful, room fairly basic but clean and the shower and bathroom facilities clean and good quality the evening meal was could have been improved and the restaurant felt more like a motorway cafe, although if you want to use this hotel as a base it is in a good location to access local areas |

The shower was great. The temperature of the room was uncomfortably hot for October and the pull out sofa bed was squeaky and also uncomfortable. |

The hotel had everything that you require for a single night stay and was very convenient for the Lake District hills. The hotel was basic, very quiet and 10 minutes walk from Cockermouth. I would not have wished to stay there for a long period. |

As a solo bussiness traveller this hotel is as good as the rest of the major hotel chains. Its not a luxury hotel or one that has any leisure facilities but what it does offer is the esentials that I look for: clean room, free internet, digital TV channels, good food, good service and a fair price. Nothing worth mentioning |

We found the hotel to be modern, clean and comfortable. Three of us were travelling together and the hotel room was quite spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly. The carpark was large and close to the hotel which we are used to in Australia. The fact that the hotel is a little way out of town. We were only staying one night on route and would have liked to walk to town for dinner. It is walkable but not as handly as we would have liked. |

Power showers and the cleaning of bathroom / toilet area were very good Staff very cheerful and helpful. Booking.com discount of about £30 on a double room. Drab dining area like a transport cafe. Entrance very uninviting with tired look. Expensive without online discount. |

The location was excellent, easy to find and within easy reach of lots of other places. The food was excellent, the breakfast set us up for the whole day and the restaurant provided a good selection of meals in the evenings. |
