Shepiston Lodge (Heathrow)  

Owners are very friendly, highly disciplined and clean family-run hotel with a home-away-home experience. Room service and breakfast are excellent. Well connected to the Heathrow airport by Hotel Hoppa buses H1/H8 (Comfort hotel stop and few yards walk) or 24 hour bus service 140 (Croyde avenue stop and 1/4 mile walk). Free parking, 24 hours hot water, shower, TV, Internet, generous tea/coffee, fresh linens, safe and calm environment to relax and peaceful sleep. Value for money in Heathrow / Hayes region!!

Conveniently situated on the Hoppa bus route near Heathrow. Reasonably quiet location and very peaceful in room. Key to come in and out. Pleasant person on reception. Good value for money.

Main set back was there was no food available in the evening, possibly because it was a bank holiday and the walk to town was at least 20 mins away. Town full of groups of youth and a bit daunting for solo, elderly woman traveller in the evening. Also, as I had to get to the airport before breakfast (which was included in the price) I asked if I could have a breakfast box in my room, but this could not be arranged.

Pat & Brian the management are brilliant, they made us feel at home. Love the friendliness of the hotel the bar area is nice. They both made us feel very welcome, and would definitely go back! We both had a great nights sleep, comfy beds :-)

Good location, very helpful staff. Basic but good value for price paid.

I only stayed overnight and as I was a late check-in did not see any staff when arriving or departing. the room was clean and served its purpose

Unable to use the Tv as when checking the channels none worked

Very convenient location to the Heathrow airport if you are in transit, very friendly and pleasant owners, good continental breakfast, free wi-fi.

The bed mattress was a bit too old, but otherwise it was fine.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with free Wi-Fi. The staff were very helpfull and friendly. Proximity to Heathrow airport (while not on the flight path) is a plus. It cost me GBP16 and 15 minutes to get to the airport. Hayes city centre was just a 10 minute bus ride away and took care of my limited shopping needs.

Breakfast was good except for the absence of sweeteners (or honey) to cater for the needs of people like me who do not take sugar.

Good value for money reasonably close to Heathrow

It was an affordable option near Heathrow Airport. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and offered advice about visiting London and local places to eat or visit.

Main thing was not being able to get any fresh air into the room - although there was a portable fan but that just moved stale air about.What appeared to be an airvent in the wall was shut and could not open it. Althogh the room on the surface appeared to be clean their was a lot of dust on skirting boards (?) in bathroom and dirt behind radiator -clearly visable when sitting in a certain position! Did not like the fact that no top sheet was supplied - just a duvet cover. We had booked and paid for a triple room but only 2 teabags/biscuits were provided.
