Sheraton Heathrow Hotel  

Location and ease of transport to heathrow Terminal 1

The new refurbishment gives the hotel a very cold feel, more signage to bars other than the sports bar is required. I could not understand why the club lounge ceased alcohol at 8pm Breakfast was cold which was a big let down, having to travel that morning meant time was too short to wait for food to be heated up properly. The executive room I had looked out onto a grey brick wall ! great view not. (Avoid room 3318) Unfortunately I would no longer recommend the Sheraton Heathrow Hotel to others nor use it again myself

Our only moan was that there were not enough reception staff on duty had quite long wait checking in,otherwise excellent.

Decor is warm. simple and comfortable. Food and service at the restaurant were good.

Check in was made clumsy because I can't check in all the rooms that I booked for my group of friends.

I liked the hotel in general the staff are very good some better than others. I also liked the free government bus travel to and from the airport. beds were comfortable too.

I didn't like having to shower in the bath tub it dangerous having to climb in and out of the tub also there was mould build up on the tub edges. The shower head was loose and not fitted to the wall firmly. I think Sheraton should have a free shuttle to and from the airport say every 30 - 45 minutes considering the distance the hotel is from the airport. I am currently staying at Park Plaza Hotel at the airport in Amsterdam and they have a free shuttle to and from the airport every 30 minutes which is a huge positive for the hotel. Also considering everyone uses the interent these days I think free internet/wifi should be in every hotel. There is free internet/wifi in Park Plaza also, in your room as well as in the hotel areas. This is a huge plus in my opinion. I have stayed in Sheraton before and was quite pleased but not so much this time.

The staff and facilities at the Sheraton were mrvellous. The room was superb. A worry we had when we booked the hotel was the proximity of the hotel to Heathrow and the noise of planes, I am happy to say that this was not an issue that arose during our stay. The hotel is close to public transport amenities and has a 24 petrol station and McDonalds across the road for those travelling on a budget. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will be staying there on my next visit to London.

Booked as solo traveller and placed in a room with an old 3rd bed (restricting space available) and other bed (chosen) creaky and ill fitting. Hotel is even more anonymous -- if possible -- and down at heel. In terms of price, I suspect that a large conference type booking had mopped up most single rooms and I should have booked elesewhere given the price.

Good choice for a comfortable and large hotel close to the Heathrow terminals- also can order breakfast the night before to be sent to the room.
