The location, free parking, room size and good eat as much as you want breakfast Bed very hard, pillows too old and flat, room very dated, TV too small for room, bathroom looks nothing like the bathrooms in the photos!!! Full of old people but realised this is because it's aimed at over 55's holidays. Dust on bedside lampshades. Also on checkout wasnt even asked if we had a nice stay! Receptionist was too busy doing other things

The service was very good and staff always polite, efficient and friendly. Ambassdor room excellent standard. Standard room very poor so asked for change of room. Ambassdor room excellent in comparison. Food was not acceptable for a hotel of this kind. Some of our party agreed it resembled school dinners, very disappointing.

Functional and friendly. Room terribly dusty, cobweb's on the ceiling, ( husband felt compelled to remove some ), rust around tap in the bathroom, coffee or tea stain's running down the radiator, too many problem's to get in this little box !! Shame because to clean this room would only take an hour.

The location. Over powering smell of bleach in tiny bathroom. Hair in the bath. Hard pillows. Broken chair in room and dirty stain on table. Tv too small for the room.

staff were all excelent and very helpful and funl. Great breakfast and good checkout time of 11am. Good value for money for the time of year. This is the second time of staying at this hotel and the second time the staff has had to correct booking issues that booking.com have created. i think hotel is currently up for sale and some areas are looking tired and in need of some care and attention. the underbed and bed side cabinets have never been moved for hoovering purposes.

Room and bathroom decor was fresh and light, very pleasant to be in, with good view over garden and trees. Staff were efficient and friendly, and very hardworking. The price was excellent for the services received. We were very pleased indeed. Breakfast eggs not the best and towards the end of breakfast period replenishment needed of most things, in particular, bread. For the budget price, however, this is just a very minor criticism and everything else was very good.

Superior rooms were worth the small extra charge. The room was warm and inviting. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, difficult to get all you wanted on your plate in one go! However quality and eventual quantity god!

We booked 3 rooms for one night for a family funeral. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every category. As value for money it was unbeatable. Cheerful staff to whom nothing was too much trouble was just the icing on the cake. Nothing - apart from the postcode not being good for a sat-nav!

Just about everything! The room was tired and indesperate need of decoration; the ntertainment was, quite frankly, comical and something of an embarrassment. The only saving grace for this outdated hotel was the fact that general opinion in the srea is that it is soon to be turned into a Tesco superstore. Whilst I have no desire to see beautiful countryside blighted by faceless corporations such as Tescos, I see this as almost an act of kindness - the hotel clearly cannot sustain itself for another season.

The hotel is more like a motel very dated carpets are in need of a desperate clean We had a meal that was not a christmas meal and it was very good, the lads who served us in the restaurant were very good and the value for the meal was good, the bar prices were very cheap what i didnt like was being asked for the room money as soon as we hit reception 2 seconds after entering the building, this has never happened to me before,so i asked to see the room,on which i was told they had upgraded us!!!from a superior to what!!! It was your standard room, with a dated bathroom. would i stay here again NO. it reminded me honestly of a old peoples home. Especially the musty smells and in the restaurant which really was a contiuation of the bar, with christmas cracker paper and food on the carpet, which was in dire need of a deep clean
