Location is great, and the hotel has a very comfortable feel with lovely decor . Breakfast was really lovely with lots of choice. I would've expected a small fridge and bathrobes in a junior suite.

Our stay was very enjoyable, the staff were friendly, the food was great and the Hotel was very impressive from the outside. Website slightly miss leading as we had hoped it was slightly more remote than where it was located, however this didnt spoil the experience.

First class service ,rooms, staff, meals, even the construction and design of the building is a great joy to behold. No wonder my daughter who stays in Australia is having her wedding reception in the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel early New Year 2013

The atmosphere, comfortable room and other facilities. The dining room and menu. Good parking. The billing system is not clear and a added item was declared bar food when we didn't have any bar food. The explanation was that a staff member probably pressed the wrong button? Because we had to be somewhere else and the unclear item was costed at £8.10, we left rather than wait an additional long time at reception while they sorted it out. Consider it a 'tip', eh?

Parking was not as easy as anticipated (no need to book comment suggested a larger car park than was available). The car park did not appear to be reserved for residents and as it was full and I had to park in a nearby street.

Lovely accommodation! This castle has been renovated inside to become a hotel, but they have maintained castle appeal. Modern, clean and very big rooms! Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Close to train station. Not in the city, but didn't bother us!

Wanted to take my husband away for his fiftieth birthday. Had booked to go to a concert at the secc and was looking for a hotel. When saw the photographs of Sherbrooke Castle thought it looked the perfect choice and was no more expensive than other hotels in the city centre. It lived up to its expectations. The staff were really helpful and gave us a superb room on the second floor [it was a suite really]. Apparently we were booked for a room in the annexe but the lady on reception said it was too cold to be going outside and she kindly moved us to the main building Could not fault the room. It was quiet even though the hotel had christmas parties both nights we were there. The bathroom was in the turret and we felt like we really were in a castle. The hotel was only 10 minutes from city centre by train[ it would be useful to put this infomation on the website as we took a taxi when we arrived at glasgow central ] It felt like you were in the countryside even though it was situated in a built up area. We did not get chance to sample the restaurant in the evening as it didn't fit in with our time table but the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stop here again and recommend it to friends/family.

We got married three and love the staircase, outside , the views and the entrance. Liked the new dinning room although did not have an opportunity to use it. We arrived for breakfast at 940 .. cutting it fine granted but the gentleman serving seemed a bot rushed which just a wee shame .did however enjoy my breakfast. Staff very obliging

The ability to leave the car and use the train,no problem with parking! Lovely helpful staff, and the best afternoon tea anywhere. Ideal situation to explore top museums. We had a garden suite and it was perfect, nice and quiet, just the ideal distance from the busy main building.
