“From the moment one walks in everything is first class from the checking in procedure right through to checking out again the staff seem to go out of their way to ensure you are well looked after. I stayed in room 11 on the top floor - it is a fabulous room! Highly recommended hotel”

Really comfortable beds; love the fluffy duvet. Conveniently located to the train station one stop from City Centre. Gorgeous neighborhood. Lovely bar and restaurant with amazing view. The garden was disappointing. No where to stroll. Lawn area needs daffodils, forget-me-nots, a sculpture or two and and brick path with a tiny bench where one can be alone in the garden. The window in our room overlooked the parking lot and trash cans. You could create a spot garden in the corner of the back lot with some colorful potted plants.

nice building, nice Staff I arrived at the hotel at 3pm - the check in time to find my room was not ready - bed not made someones rubbish all over the place - as a result I was moved to another room which was much smaller in comparison - i had paid for a bigger room. We ordered room service - no one arrived to collect the dirty plates so they sat there all night - the water pipe burst the 2nd day and as such there was no water - no one came to the room to offer us water to drink!! Not what you expect for a 4 star!!!

Our first time staying at this hotel and it proved to be an excellent choice. Frienndly and effeicient staff, comfortable spacious and modernised room with equally spacious and modern bathroom. It is a hotel with a bit of character. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Location is quiet but impressive and yet only 10 minutes drive to the centre of Glasgow. Would certainly stay here again. It represents excellent value for money. Difficult if not impossible to find anything not to like.

I really liked the area and the hotel building is impressive. We came for my husbands 30th Birthday and I thought that I had booked to stay in the castle. We were actually put in a garden annex which was nice although smelt of damp. I was a little dissapointed with it being a special occasion and telling my husband we were staying in teh castle. I think the staff could be friendlier too.

Very nice hotel and all the staff were friendly and efficient in all we asked them for. There was some paint peeling off the ceiling in my room where some water must have come through at some point. Also the main door to the garden rooms didn't lock which made me feel a bit vulnerable at night.

First class service ,rooms, staff, meals, even the construction and design of the building is a great joy to behold. No wonder my daughter who stays in Australia is having her wedding reception in the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel early New Year 2013

The atmosphere, comfortable room and other facilities. The dining room and menu. Good parking. The billing system is not clear and a added item was declared bar food when we didn't have any bar food. The explanation was that a staff member probably pressed the wrong button? Because we had to be somewhere else and the unclear item was costed at £8.10, we left rather than wait an additional long time at reception while they sorted it out. Consider it a 'tip', eh?

Lovely accommodation! This castle has been renovated inside to become a hotel, but they have maintained castle appeal. Modern, clean and very big rooms! Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Close to train station. Not in the city, but didn't bother us!

Wanted to take my husband away for his fiftieth birthday. Had booked to go to a concert at the secc and was looking for a hotel. When saw the photographs of Sherbrooke Castle thought it looked the perfect choice and was no more expensive than other hotels in the city centre. It lived up to its expectations. The staff were really helpful and gave us a superb room on the second floor [it was a suite really]. Apparently we were booked for a room in the annexe but the lady on reception said it was too cold to be going outside and she kindly moved us to the main building Could not fault the room. It was quiet even though the hotel had christmas parties both nights we were there. The bathroom was in the turret and we felt like we really were in a castle. The hotel was only 10 minutes from city centre by train[ it would be useful to put this infomation on the website as we took a taxi when we arrived at glasgow central ] It felt like you were in the countryside even though it was situated in a built up area. We did not get chance to sample the restaurant in the evening as it didn't fit in with our time table but the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stop here again and recommend it to friends/family.
