price/quality It was clean and tidy Location is good for a city trip
breakfast meats would have been nice
Great bathroom, water pressure, and I liked having a hair dryer. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast included, so good value for the money
room and exterior hallways were tiny and a little hard to negotiate
good location and staff
Close enough to Victoria Coach Station to allow me to walk there with my luggage. Lots of restaurants to choose from close by. Newly renovated.
Rooms too small. Was a king bed in a small room. Nowhere to put suitcases. Had to shuffle past bed to get to other side and to window, so little room you easily kick your toes on the bed. First floor room was really second floor and basement breakfast room which didn't help me with knee issues on steps. No lift and no assistance offered.
the hotel was in a great location
not very clean in our room, and the staff was not very welcoming or approachable.
Quiet Room in the rear of the building, close to bars and Tube
The breakfast was ordinary, with too many people squashed in a small area. There was no sliced meat or yogurt or fresh fruit.
I liked breakfast. The staff were professional. The bathroom fittings were nice.
I didn't like the bedsheets which appeared to be dirty or perhaps had dustmites.
The location is within walking distance of Victoria Rail Station.
Room very small. When we got to the room other people's luggage in the room and shower had been used. We had informed the hotel several days earlier that we required an early breakfast and could they arrange it the day before (continental) but they made no effort.
Great location. Nice staff.
First room was 4 or 5 flights up, tiny, musty, hot and kinda grubby. Requested a change and they kindly complied. 2nd room slightly better but someone else's hair on bathroom floor! Yuck!
Always exceptionally clean, fabulous shower, and comfy beds - who could want more?
Nice to stay right at the heart of the capital city of England.
The bedroom was a bit cramped but adequate for our needs. Could have done with a couple of rashers of bacon and a sausage and fried egg at breakfast but it doesn't hurt me to forgo that.
I liked the very helpful and friendly people at the reception and what was for me a lovely surprise - a European socket in the room, which was very helpful - I have never seen such a convenient detail in UK. Breakfast was very nice too! :-) As I needed to work in the morning before leaving UK, it wasn't a problem for the staff to let me in my room a bit longer, thank you for it!
Just a minor detail: a small bowl or basket for used Tea bags at breakfast would be helpful. A bit noisy neighbours, as lot of students are living nearby - but this is not anything HTL can do about. Earplugs always help! :-)
Location, breakfast, staff.
Friendly staff, cleanliness, great en-suite, varied and tasty continental breakfast, very helpful map/brochure of London provided free.
Very compact rooms and staircase - not a problem for us but heavy travellers with larger suitcases may struggle!
Excellent breakfast, some chain hotel manager's should stay here to learn the meaning of the word 'choice'. An excellent range of foods here, they even had Shredded Wheat on the menu! Good location for arrival in the City by bus or train. Good range of restaurants and theatre close by.
The colour of the front door - just kidding!
Small, basic rooms; but reasonable value near Victoria. You're sleeping in the room, not living in it!
We were lucky enough to get a room with a en suite, it was small but had everything needed in a room for a jam packed 2day trip to London.
The only thing I can complain about is that there was no mirror near the hairdryer as it wouldn't stretch near to one?
Bathroom outside the room
Location, value for money
Staff less than helpful
location; close to where we had to travel the next day.
Smallest room you will see; no elevator--very hard to get bags up or down to the room.
Our room did not have an ensuite and we had to go down a flight of stairs to our bathroom in view of the entrance.would have put comfort excellent if we had an ensuite
Small room, tidy & neat. No lifts, had to drag cases up two flights - difficult.
within walking distance of several attractions eg. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben & several other Tourist sites. The room was very clean & shower was very good. Continental breakfast was excellent. good selection.
Room was a little warm.
