In a tranquil area of Marylebone, Durrants is a charming 18th-century property, a 5-minute walk from Oxford Street. Marble Arch Underground Station is 10 minutes’ walk away.
Score from 734 reviews Very good
Ideally located on Baker St with wonderful staff who even remembered us when we returned 2 weeks later.
Nothing. we would definitely stay there again and recommend to others
Nothing! I had stayed here before a few years ago and enjoyed it. This property has gone downhill.
The rooms were dingy and tired, stains on the carpet. The heat didn't work and I awoke during the night to find several small flea like bites on my feet. I checked out a day early. Do NOT stay here!
The bed was very comfortable
The 12:5% service charge on food and drink, & the traffic noise all night
Clean and comfortable. Great location a very short walk from baker st tube.
Hotel looks great, clean, very helpful staff
The room size and condition of the room, the bathroom needed attention mouldy tiles and tired sealant, no toilet brush, the wardrobe doors old and ill fitting unable to shut them and turn off the interior lights. For the price of the room it should have been in perfect letting condition
Sangita Salvatore Ivan Some staff trying very hard however there is nothing they can do to make up for managements obvious flaws.
Noise!!!! Noise!!!! Noise!!!! Housekeeping makes so much thumping and banging noise it is hard to say for sure if they are cleaning or exercising demons. Combination of staff and ignorant guests speaking loudly in corridors can be heard loud and clear from inside of room. There is no SPA at this hotel. There is only a Health Club and all signs say as much. THERE IS NOT A SPA AT THIS HOTEL. A steam room and sauna smell of mold and mildew and are a health hazard. They are in the signed Health Club. THERE IS NO SPA AT THIS HOTEL Food is mediocre at best. Phillip at Front Desk is belligerent. Hotel is run down and tired. HARDWOOD FLOORS = LOUD THUMP THUMP THUMP FROM EVERYWHERE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. BETTER TO BE HAD FOR SAME MONEY. THIS HOTEL IS A DISASTER.
No explanation to use the air conditioning evident. In winter it pumps hot air into the room, even when it is hot outside. Resulting in a room unbearably hot and not able to sleep.
Felt like home
Hotel was not as good as I expected, I thought the complete hotel needed an update as it looked tired and for the money I expected a fresher feeling! Sofa bed in the room was very badly stained and I did not want to sit on it.
Friendly, efficient staff. Excellent shower. Good decor and layout
No (free) water in room Hair in one of breakfast food containers
My 325 upgraded room was very quiet and nice.
Room 114 was not renovated very well and was next to ventilation system, which was being switched on each day at 7 a.m.. This equipment was so noisy, that you had no chance to sleep after it was activated. One fire accident took place during my 6 days stay.
excellent breakfast, very good restaurant, staff is very friendly and helpful
wardrobe much too small and no other place to hang your clothes like a hallstand.
The bar was excellent
Staff were all very helpful and flexible. Our bedrooms were a good size that suited our son and wife with two children .Our room was big enough to give children room to play
Lack of CBeebies on TV Price per room too high;£50 per night too much. However meal prices including room service were very reasonable as well as offering good quality.
Near to public transport, airport shuttle bus route, easy to get into West End. Very comfortable accommodation. Wifi free.
Slight traffic noise for rooms on Baker Street but not really an issue.
Convenience to Oxford street
Hotel furnishings were tatty , the wooden furniture in particular was very outdated and not reflected in the price paid for room only £367 for 2 nights
Close by the shops Upgrated to deluxe room, which was great The wood-oven pizza Breakfast was delicious, and generous Very friendly personnel Wi-Fi worked great
Its an old building and it might need a bit of a face lift Noisy in the morning when trying to sleep
This is an unusual Hotel. It is an old building and therefore quirky which enamours itself to you after a while even if it is a bit annoying. Staff particularly Salvatori, were very attentive. The location on Baker Street is very buzzy and interesting. Very pleasant room. One of my companions enjoyed a very good deep tissue massage in the Spa.
Slowest lifts in the world! Mezzanine level complicated to find time and again. One of my companions is disabled. If there is no disabled access room available, our experience is that no other rooms in this Hotel will be suitable. Had we been aware of this in advance we would have made other arrangements.
Professional savvy front desk staff.
Sliding door on bathroom
Brilliant staff providing excellent service in all areas of hotel.
Perfect place to stay.If u have any prob in the room, just mention it to Agata and Joana they will deal with it in a second.
Staff, food comfort and atmosphere.
extra charge for late check out
Needs updating, could hear people in the corridor like they were on the room. Bathroom plugs didn't work. Not value for money, had stayed a few years back and was surprised.
The staff are very nice
Good place to stay, stuff are very helpful.
